Responsible for all phases of center food services program including, but not limited to, purchasing and preparation of large quantities of food, proper food storage, utilization, sanitation, documentation and inventory in accordance with the Federal, State and local requirements, as well as corporate policies and procedures. Oversee the development, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of a comprehensive nutrition services program for all centers, in keeping with Federal, State, and local regulations. Provide training and technical assistance to center-level staff. Provide overall planning, implementation, coordination, and monitoring of comprehensive nutrition services and programming. Develop and strengthen relationships with staff and external partners to ensure all necessary program goals are met.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
· Implement and monitor a grant funded feeding program for a multi-site operation serving 5-10 sites.
· Complete reports that reflect the status of the grant
· Track data and complete reports to maintain grant compliance
Implement organizations operational policies and procedures.
Provide leadership in the development of the nutrition services programming.
Provide on-going reports to Supervisor on program compliance
Delegate, observe, monitor, evaluate and provide feedback to staff.
Complete monthly and annual reports, including recommending and implementing plans for improvement and/or corrective actions.
Ensure required tasks are completed within designated timeframes.
Provide guidance, training, and technical support to staff
Implement staff corrective action if necessary
Develop and follow nutritious menus according to guidelines
Ensure sanitation and safety practices are compliant in accordance with food service establishment regulations in food preparation and food clean up
Maintain appropriate records, invoices, menus, and other USDA documentation
Cooperate with USDA/CACFP representatives, Health Department Inspectors and Federal monitors during on-site reviews
Oversee nutrition services budget and inventory tracking
Develop and/or assist in preparing service area plans, manuals, and other necessary educational materials as directed by Supervisor
Provide sound technical support, guidance and motivate staff in their professional development through coaching and mentoring.
Attend meetings, conferences, hearings, etc. at the request of the Supervisor.
Ensure the nutritional needs of children and those with special needs are being met
Provide required weekly, monthly, quarterly and/or annual reports to Supervisor as assigned.
Attend and participate in Preservice and Inservice trainings as applicable.
Adhere to established Work Plan and update as necessary or directed by Supervisor.
Adhere to Confidentiality Policy.
Adhere to Child Abuse and Neglect Policy.
Adhere to Positive Guidance Policy.
Assist in the physical maintenance and care of center facility such as sweeping, mopping, sanitizing and garbage disposal.
ROLE SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS
21 years of age with college degree
Achieve and maintain nationally recognized certifications in the related field resulting in excellent technical knowledge of the program area
5 years of experience in instructing in the program area.
Ability to work with others. Sensitive to others.
Ability to perform activities, which require sustained concentration and attention.

These additions are not to be construed as exclusive or all-inclusive and other duties may be assigned and required as needed:
Enhanced cleaning in areas where the employee is not directly/normally assigned as well as normally assigned areas. All employees are expected to assist in and support the efforts of the GPY YMCA when it comes to health and wellness for the facility and other locations where the GPY YMCA conducts business. All employees are expected to wipe machines, screens, computers, or anything that is used after they use it, all employees are expected to wash their hands on a frequent basis (recommended every 30 minutes if possible), and use hand sanitizer when hand washing is not available.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Ability to express or exchange ideas by means of spoken word to impart oral information and to convey detailed, spoken instructions to staff, members, children, and volunteers accurately, quickly, and loudly. Ability to perceive the nature of sounds by ear; ability to lift and carry 50-75 pounds; ability to maintain body equilibrium to prevent falling. Ability to move about on foot quickly; ability to stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl. Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time. Ability to judge distances and spatial relationships so as to see objects where they actually are and clearly see at 20 inches or less and 20 feet or more.
ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS
Exposure to high levels of noise and various environmental conditions.
Acquire and maintain the following certifications:
Must have current physical exam, Mantoux tuberculosis screening, and clearances.
CPR/AED/O2/First Aid obtained through the American Red Cross (valid 2 years)
Requisite OSHA online trainings (valid 1 year unless otherwise noted)
Mandated Reporter Training (valid 5 years)
