JOB DESCRIPTION








WINDOWS SERVER ADMINISTRATOR:

We are seeking a Windows system administrator with enterprise expertise. The ideal candidate is familiar with the implementation and best practices for managing enterprise Windows systems in a classified environment. The candidate is familiar with system security hardening and can implement system management methods to ensure the successful accreditation and sustainment of classified networks and systems.

OVERALL REQUIREMENTS:


  • U.S. Citizen

  • Submit/Pass a 10-year Dept. of Defense background check, criminal history, drug screening, and fingerprints

  • Submit/Pass a 4-hour counter-intelligence polygraph for SCI access

  • Valid driver's license/Real-ID with clean driver's history

  • Applicant must have a strong work ethic, be extremely organized and detail-oriented, be a self-starter with excellent time-management, problem solving, and multitasking skills

  • Applicant must have excellent front-facing / face-to-face customer service skills

  • Minimum 1 year of customer service experience (call center, retail, or other customer facing role)

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to articulate details in a professional manner

  • Position may require ability to sit, stand, walk extended distances, bend, stoop, squat and lift to 35 lbs. from the floor to desktop for extended periods of time

  • Experience with a ticketing system like ServiceNow a plus

JOB SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS AND SKILLS:


  • 10+ years' experience Windows server administration in a classified enterprise environment

  • Active Top-Secret security clearance with SCI access (TS/SCI) - must pass a polygraph, required

  • IAT Level-2 Technical Certification (CompTIA Security+ or equivalent) required within 90 days of hire

  • Associates degree in IT Coursework, Bachelor's preferred

  • Makes use of and applies job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts

  • Expert level of skills in server sizing and server capacity planning, security hardening, and installation

  • Expert level of skills in Disaster Recovery and Business Continuity concepts

  • Expert level of skills with database, web server, enterprise backup software administration

  • Expert level of skills backup systems and capacity planning

  • Expert level of skill in maintaining Active Directory

  • Administration and troubleshooting of Citrix Infrastructure

  • Expert skill set for Hypervisors: VMware, Citrix

  • Nice to have: Basic Linux administration skills

  • Desired skill set for Tools: McAfee ePO, NetBackup, Veeam, LANDesk, NetIQ Sentinel

  • Desired skill set for Monitoring: Nagios, Splunk

  • Desired skill set for Server OS: Windows Server 2012, 2016

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:


  • Provides solutions to a variety of technical problems of moderate scope and complexity

  • Assists with the implementation of established security requirements

  • Implements safeguards to protect information against accidental or unauthorized modification, destruction or disclosure to meet emergency data processing needs

  • Monitors information security reports and implement established security measures

  • Assists with installation of patches, modifying security files, control files and data access and corrects errors

  • Follows established procedures in the management of user system access to meet security requirements

  • Assists with the implementation of hardware and software security measures for transmission and storage of information

  • Performs system monitoring using approved tools and processes to validate system health

  • Performs backup and restore procedures to ensure system and data availability

  • Participates in the design of the delivery system to meet customer requirements

  • Assists in the system integration, hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture

  • Assists in the validation of end-to-end system functionality through unit and integration testing

  • Collects, maintains and reports IT infrastructure information across distributed systems and multiple support groups

  • Updates system baseline information that describes computing systems and networks including all hardware and software components

  • Assists in implementing system changes by using standardized methods and procedures for efficient and prompt handling of all changes to improve day-to-day operations

  • Performs problem resolution as appropriate by using applicable computing processes. Assists others in complex problem resolution for delivery systems

  • Documents resolutions/analyses according to support procedures

  • Other duties as assigned

This position performs dual responsibilities as the El Segundo Team Lead for all Technical Operations staff.

The Team Lead is a position which reports to the Tower Lead of Technical Operations (Infrastructure) and will be responsible for coordinating and driving the day-to-day operational support of Servers, Telecom, Networking and Info Security. The person in this role will coordinate with managed service operations staff, architecture and engineering resources to ensure that projects and operational commitments are consistently delivered. The person in this role will track, assess and analyze resource commitments, team bandwidth and priorities to ensure the team is providing accurate estimates and delivering exceptional service to stakeholders. This person in this position will also handle case-by-case escalations from internal and external stakeholders.



The Team Lead Position expected to participate in On Call Support rotation



Required:
