Job Description:

ERM is enhancing its Group IT organization and is looking to bring in a Global Head of Process Excellence reporting into the CIO to drive operational efficiency and cost optimization. The Global Head of Process Excellence will enable the strategic directive and operational needs related to the definition, implementation and measurement of global business processes, as well as leading the professionalization of business applications and service management activities in driving an increase in customer satisfaction, sustainable low cost, increased reliability, reduced service variability, improved quality & compliance, and return on investment. The successful Global Head of Process Excellence should have a background in both IT & business, with the ability to communicate effectively between both sides.

The Global Head of Process Excellence work alongside the CIO and the rest of the IT leadership team helping to ensure the needs of the ERM business and Group IT are aligned.

           

The Global Head of Process Excellence is the functional leader of business process management, business applications support, and change management across the ERM business. The role will provide advice and guidance, monitoring and assurance, advocacy, and education with respect to business performance excellence, and its delivery within Marketing, Sales (client), Operations (projects), Finance & Procurement (finance), and Human Resources (people) The Global Head of Process Excellence has the role of developing relationships with and influencing key internal stakeholders, and external stakeholders (such as suppliers, partners) to support transformational, business application and service management activities.

Priority focus areas and responsibilities for the Global Head of Process Excellence will therefore include establishing / leading a high performing team to:


  • Define a clear business performance transformational strategy that analyses existing processes and business applications across the business defining areas of improvement to harmonize, standardize and scale throughout the ERM business.

  • Establish a methodology to define, monitor and control the adoption and continuous improvement of global business processes, and applications including business performance reporting and analysis.

  • Oversee and lead the internal business application and change management framework activities globally, supporting the current operation while developing the people and infrastructure capabilities for the future.

PROFESSIONAL knowledge, skills and experience

This is a critical role that requires a strategic, business-focused Global Head of Process Excellence with a track record of playing a key role in business transformation, business application and service management activities. In addition to consulting, technology, and program management experience, the successful candidate will need exceptional communication and leadership skills with the ability to engage with and influence the culture and perception of business leaders across the ERM business. The successful individual will bring a proactive mind-set, having previously faced challenging situations.

The successful individual will have:


  • Experience as a business-focused technology leader who has a proven track record of success in leading the definition, implementation and measurement of global business processes.

  • Been responsible for managing the continuous improvement of group-wide processes and enabling business applications and require change management.

  • Played a key role in business application and service management framework design and operations in a business-focused organization.

  • Have experience of working with internal and external delivery teams covering product support and services.

  • Been an advocate for upholding transformation governance methodologies and played a leading role in steering executive level decision making.

  • A consulting, program management, and technology heritage with a track record of driving operational efficiency, cost optimization and cultural change.

  • Be comfortable working in diverse and potentially challenging team environments where you will often be expected to facilitate collaboration and pursuit of performance improvement.

  • The ability to operate effectively within a lean, matrix organisation where some of his/her areas of responsibility or accountability would need to be delivered via influence and relationships rather than all under their control.

  • Personal drive, passion, and enthusiasm to understand and successfully navigate a company undergoing meaningful transformation.

  • Proven track record of improving performance in their current team with experience of recruiting and building high-performing teams.

  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience of transforming delivery models, outsourcing services, partnering with 3rd party suppliers and vendors to achieve commercially beneficial outcomes.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE


  • Qualified to a degree level in a relevant subject.

  • 10+ years of relevant work experience, including consulting, technology, and general industry experience.

  • First class experience in leading digital, process optimization transformational programs within large international matrix organizations.

  • Digital experience gained through project delivery or digital product management.

  • Demonstrable ability of facilitating reliable delivery, process improvement and high performing teams.

  • Experience in operating in a programme and/or project environment with multiple stakeholders and of operating in cross-business teams.

  • Experience in Agile and Scrum philosophy, methodologies and ways of working.

  • Effective time management skills: with the ability to work on multiple tasks simultaneously, prioritizing tasks, shifting priorities, fluctuating workloads, deadline pressures.

  • Experience in strategic planning, and budgeting.

  • Digital mind set and acumen and exposure to digital analytics tools.

  • Technical capability in data management and analytics.

  • GDPR and Information Security awareness.

  • Proficient knowledge of Agile and DevOps.

Per Colorado Pay Transparency requirements (CEPA):

The typical salary range for this position is $120,000-$130,000 placement in range is commensurate with skills, abilities, experience and performance.
