                                                                      Temp Production Assembler– Day Shift –3 months assignment

Frozen Beverage Dispensers is a private family-owned leading frozen beverage dispenser manufacturing company headquartered in San Antonio, Texas. We are a global leader in the manufacturing of frozen beverage dispensers because we deliver the most reliable and low maintenance dispensers.  We produce machines that make frozen beverages such as ICEE and other frozen treats.  We sell our products to convenience stores, quick service restaurants, movie theatres, military bases and theme parks.  Some of our customers are PepsiCo, Six Flags, AMC Theatres, Taco Bell, Coca-Cola and Burger King.

We have a clean, fully air-conditioned and day shift only manufacturing facility which is located near I-35 and I-410 close to San Antonio Airport area.  We employ over 200 employees and operate our manufacturing facility during the day shift only from 6 AM – 5 PM Monday – Friday.  Approximately once a month we operate our facility 6 AM – 11 AM on Saturdays.  Our facility is closed on Sunday.  We are a family-oriented company and we value our employees and their work-life balance.  

We are looking for a Production Assembler who will complete the assembly of components of frozen beverage dispensing equipment in a timely manner with the use of hand and power tools. Accountable for assembling a quality product.  Assemblers follow high safety and quality standards while meeting production schedules. Ensure the cleanliness, orderliness and the safety of manufacturing area. Assist and follow the supervision of the Production Supervisors and Leads.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assemble various components within established assembly time standards while complying with Work Instructions to assemble equipment.  Using hand pliers, hand screwdrivers, electric screwdrivers and tie wrap cutters.


• Inspect parts to ensure that quality standards are maintained.


• Package and transport materials.


• Cross-train in other areas of the production areas.


• Perform simple calculations.


• Maintain documentation of equipment information, including but not limited to production checklists and quality forms.


• Clean and maintain work area.


• Assist in training new employees.


• Order, manage and maintain raw materials supplies.


• Wear personal protective equipment relevant to the assigned work area. (Eye Protection Only)


• Provide support other departments as needed.


• Perform other duties and projects as needed and assigned.

Job Requirements:

• Must possess a High School Diploma or GED. 


• Must have a minimum of 1 year of experience working with hand tools.


• Must be able to safely and proficiently use hand pliers, hand screwdrivers, electric screwdrivers and tie wrap cutters.


• Must be able to remember, follow and understand on the job training. Ability to work with minimal supervision. Read and understand written instructions. Maintain records and print legibly. Ability to prioritize and accurately complete necessary work in a timely manner.


• Must have basic computer hardware skills to include basic computer, keyboard and mouse skills.


• Must have excellent integrity, initiative, interpersonal skills, adaptable, problem solving, planning and organizing, attention to detail, accountable, assertive and safety skills.


• Must have good communication skills because of daily contact with all FBD departments.


• Must communicate in a clear and concise manner, have good listening skills, be aware of tone of voice and messages, be friendly, be confident, show empathy, be respectful, select the right channel of communication and possess emotional intelligence.


• Must be fluent in English which includes reading: the ability to read and understand words written in English, writing: the ability to formulate written words in English, comprehending: the ability to follow and understand speech in English and speaking: the ability to produce speech in English and be understood.


• Must possess good reading and writing skills such as reading, writing in  simple sentences.


• Must possess basic math skills such as adding and subtracting two-digit numbers.  Perform simple calculations with money, volume, length and weight.


• Must possess critical thinking skills such as remembering, understanding, applying, analyzing, and evaluating.


• Must be able to pass background check, drug test and COVID check.


• Must have steady employment history. Must have excellent attention to detail, safety and attendance. 

Hours and Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to workday-shift hours from approximately 6:30 AM – 5:30 PM Monday – Friday.  Occasional Saturdays from 7 AM – 11 AM.  (Once a Month)


• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to constantly stand, walk, grasp, see, hear, speak and have eye/hand/foot coordination.


• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to frequently lift, carry, push, pull and reach.


• The employee must constantly lift up to 10 pounds and frequently lifting and/or move up to 20 pounds.


• This position works in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. 


• The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.


• Perform job duties for up to 10 hours a day.


• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.


• Specific hearing abilities required by this job include having to hear and communicate over the phone and in person in a noising environment and having to hear alarms and bells in manufacturing areas.
