Job Description:

The position entails the design, prototyping, testing, and implementing of firmware and software for embedded systems. The position also includes managing small to large sized software projects for R&D and Product Development for the IIoT team.

The perfect candidate will be able to perform these essential duties:

• Own and write prototype and production grade firmware for various microcontroller designs.


• Collaborate closely with Hardware Engineers on the team to design embedded systems for IIoT products.


• Interpret hardware schematics, write code to integrate with peripherals such as analog and digital sensors, fieldbus protocols, motor controllers, etc.


• Write software applications to support and test embedded hardware.


• Manage firmware and hardware source file version control.


• Exceptional knowledge and experience of low-level code on microcontrollers: Assembly, C, C++ on ARM-Cortex M platforms or similar.


• Exceptional knowledge of embedded architecture design for Product Development.


• Good knowledge and experience with hardware design and microcontroller hardware peripherals, such as I2C and SPI MEMs sensors, analog 4-20mA industrial sensors, PLCs, real-time fieldbus protocols.


• Good knowledge and experience with writing computer applications in Python to debug and test embedded hardware.


• Good knowledge and experience with software version control systems such as Git.


• Some knowledge or experience of integration with wireless radio modules such as Bluetooth, LoRa and cellular.


• Some knowledge or experience of embedded operating systems and RTOSs.


• Some knowledge of digital hardware design and PCB design.

Education and Experience:

Bachelor's Degree in Computer or Electrical Engineering, a related field, or equivalent professional experience, and a minimum of 2 years industry experience
