Your role:

The Ingram Micro Global IoT organization is looking for a dynamic engineering manager to own the architecture and development of the next generation platform to onboard partners and customers to drive IoT adoption in the global channel market. The platform will address need for automation from order to revenue for IoT solutions that enables quick time to market capabilities like - device software configurations, provisioning, configurations, device management, connectivity management, edge device light up. As we embark into scaling the platform, the platform shall leverage emerging technologies such as Digital twins and AI to accelerate growth. This platform shall enable integration for partner and customer system through API as a service model. The platform will be integrated with other Ingram CRM systems to drive common partner experience. The Engineering manager will be responsible to drive complete end to end development of platform inclusive, but not limited to customer user experience, system architecture, system design, solution development, quality assurance and DevOps.

• Oversee the IoT platform development, both internal development as well as customer integration and adoption programs


• Maintain the global pipeline for the Platform, including evaluating opportunities for maximum value creation and recommending investment accordingly


• Ownership of program management for the IoT function, aligning reporting and best practices across the business


• Ownership and representation of the voice of customer ... maintain technology roadmap, manage requirements and prioritize features.


• Maintain knowledge and report on trends in the Technology industry, both strategic and competitive


• Establish partnerships with third party integrators and solution providers, and APIs to enable integrations.


• Develop an engineering development strategy to support scalability of solution delivery globally.


• Work with other Ingram Infrastructure teams to integrate with Ingram CRM systems


• Recruit, develop and manage Product owners, Architects, Engineers, QA and technical operations teams


• Subject matter expert in architecting Cloud, Hybrid cloud and multi-cloud systems

What you bring to the role:

Education:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or Engineering, or related technical field is required


• Preferred: an MBA (or equivalent) from a top-tier institution, or equivalent business experience

• 8+ years software or embedded technology management experience


• 5+ years connected product experience with proven deployments and operations


• 5+ years in senior leadership role with direct reports, preferably experience managing managers


• 5+ years' experience managing offshore teams as part of software and hardware development


• 8+ years' experience delivering multiple software implementations using Agile development methodologies


• Demonstrated leadership results in fast moving, highly ambiguous situations


• Demonstrated results driving adoption of new technology in an organization


• SME in operational cloud architectures, APIs, UI development and device management


• Ability to work flexible hours, working with global development and operations teams


• Demonstrated good cross organizational collaboration
