Description
The Banking Systems Analyst is responsible for supporting department staff tasked with the administration and management of the Bank's Core System and ancillary applications. Performs tasks as required when banking systems maintenance, updates and enhancements are available. Troubleshoots issues and resolves system irregularities and anomalies.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with identifying and resolving issues related to banking systems, addressing issues and concerns directly to management.
- Conducts business process and system analysis in an effort to align business processes with core banking system functionality.
- Provide support to multiple departments with systems and applications assigned to the Banking System Management team.
- Participate in system upgrades and conversion review, including data mapping, product mapping, testing and implementation.
- Create and maintain detailed documentation related to process changes, bank control records and user based system access
- Serve as a liaison between multiple Business Line Units and the Information Technology Department.
- Complete assigned projects according to scope and within assigned due dates.
- Assist management with core system bank control records (BCRs) for deposit applications (e.g., DD, SV, CD, IR, SDB, RM, Teller) and ancillary systems.
- Participate in the evaluation of new systems, products or enhancements which may improve business processes (efficiencies) or customer service.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years' experience in banking operations or retail operations required. Must possess thorough knowledge and experience to support banking systems.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with FIS core system and ancillary products/systems preferred.
- Experience with banking solutions and/or core banking systems required.
