Our Fixed Networks (FN) business group provides an array of "gigabit to the home" solutions to deliver data access to our communication service provider (CSP) customers. We build solutions that don't stop at the home but also bring that gigabit experience into the home using our meshed Wi-Fi solution.

About Broadband Devices Division, Fixed Networks

Our Broadband Devices (BBD) Business Group within Fixed Networks (FN) business group provides an array of "gigabit to the home" solutions to deliver data access to our communication service provider (CSP) and Enterprise customers. This includes Fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) as well as 4G, 5G fixed wireless access (FWA) and xDSL. We build solutions that don't stop at the home but also bring that gigabit experience into the home using our meshed Wi-Fi solution.


  • As the cyber Security Specialist, the candidate is responsible for assuring the security of Customer Premises Equipment (CPE) such as xPON, 4G, 5G, WiFi and Cloud management of these CPEs. The candidate will have to prepare a threat model for the CPE devices and search for vulnerabilities and risks in hardware and software.


  • Ability to perform hands on hacking tests in order to identify security vulnerabilities both in the hardware and software of CPE products.

  • Ability to propose solutions to defend against the vulnerabilities that are identified in the CPE products.

  • Fluency in security vulnerability testing tools such as Nessus, NMAP, QualysGuard, Codenomicon and ability to develop their own tools if needed.

  • Ability to adapt to a dynamic work environment.

  • Ability to analyze the customer requirements related to security of hardware and software systems of the CPE products and provide guidance to development engineers during the design and development phase of the CPE products.

  • Ability to work with development, test and product management teams that are spread across geographical locations.

  • Willingness and ability to constantly update self with the latest security trends and technologies, security breaches and solutions.

  • Support for cyber security incident response in the customer networks whenever there is a security breach.

Qualifications


  • Masters' degree in Information Technology, Computer Science or any related fields.

  • 8 years' minimal experience in Telco or IT industry as a security specialist preferably focused on CPE or IOT devices.

Ideal Candidate Profile


  • Strong understanding of Cryptography, Public Key Cryptography, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI), Certificate Enrolment Protocols (CMP, SCEP), IPSec (IKE, ESP).

  • Architecture background on fixed and mobile network security

  • Strong knowledge and experience in Networking Protocols.

  • Cybersecurity certifications requirements or equivalents qualifications:

    • Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH)

    • Offensive Security Certified Professional (OSCP)

    • CompTIA Security+

    • Certified Information System Security Professional (CISSP)

    • Certified Information Security Manager (CISM)

    • Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA)

    • NIST Cybersecurity Framework (NCSF)

    • Certified Cloud Security Professional (CCSP)

    • Computer Hacking Forensic Investigator (CHFI)

    • Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) Security



  • Deep knowledge of Linux operating system and hardening.

  • Deep knowledge in 4G, 5G, WiFi and Bluetooth security.

  • Deep knowledge of web server and mobile app security.

  • Experienced in virtualization technologies (VMware, Openstack, Dockers etc.)

  • Experienced in Bash and Python Script Programming.

  • Experience in hacking of CPE products and identifying vulnerabilities including with the help of reverse engineering.

  • Must be familiar with the CVSS system of ranking vulnerabilities.

  • High level of energy and ability to manage difficult customer situations.

  • Ability to work independently and take initiative to get things done.

  • Can work well with local & remote teams.

  • Can collaborate and work well with teams across organization boundaries

  • Strong communication & people skills

  • High degree of adaptability and ability to learn new skills
