Scope/Summary of Position:
Maintain service technicians' daily schedules and dispatch the technicians as service calls are completed. Schedule return trips with customers when parts are in. Maintain customer database with current information. Clear and concise communications with managers, employees, and company customers;including keeping customers updated on the schedule and requested lead-times.
General Responsibilities:
Schedule and dispatch workers, work crews, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using dispatch software or telephones.
Arrange for necessary repairs in order to restore service and schedules.
Relay work orders, messages, and information to or from technicians, supervisors, and end-user customers.
Confer with customers or supervising personnel in order to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment.
Prepare daily work and run schedules.
Receive or prepare work orders.
Oversee all communications within specifically assigned territories.
Monitor personnel and/or equipment locations and utilization in order to coordinate service and schedules.
Record and maintain files and records of customer requests, work or services performed, charges, expenses, inventory, and other dispatch information.
Determine types or amounts of equipment, vehicles, materials, or personnel required according to work orders or specifications.
Advise personnel about traffic problems such as construction areas, accidents, congestion, weather conditions, and other hazards.
Ensure timely and efficient movement of trains according to train orders and schedules.
Order supplies and equipment, and issue them to personnel.
Monitor and coach to KPI's and deliverable metrics.
Standard work hours are 9AM- 5PM CST
Qualifications:
Two years related experience and/or training in customer service, route optimization, dispatching or project management or equivalent combination of education and experience
Strong Customer service/interpersonal skills
Ability to multi-task and be adaptable
Organized and deadline focused
Proven success with building relationships with remote employees
Experience with building/planning routes in advance
Capability to export route and delivery data for reporting
Computer savvy and Dispatch software experience required
Independent and self-motivated yetcollaborative
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Associates Degree or higher preferred
