The AP Accountant - Construction will be responsible for general accounting functions including, but not limited to: * Analyze and process a high volume of invoices in accordance with company policies and procedures * Manage workflows to ensure timely processing and approvals of invoices and check requests * Paying vendors by scheduling payments; generally responding to all overseas vendor inquiries regarding finance * Reconcile vendor statements, research and resolve discrepancies * Manage all functions of the month-end close including reconciliations of accounts payable, purchase order received not invoiced accounts, and suspense accounts. Resolve any variances discovered by the following monthly close.
* Bachelors in Accounting or Finance required * 2+ years of Accounting experience, with a focus on accounts payable * Construction industry experience highly desired * Experience with Sage 300 (Timberline) software The AP Accountant will work for a leading New England Construction firm located in downtown Boston.
