Data Analyst

Akron, OH or remote

Myers Industries seeks ahighly analytical, detail-oriented, strong communicator to help build best practices around data analysis and translate key findings into actionable insights that influence increase in revenue. You will generate reports, interpret data, and communicate opportunities, risks, and improvements for our marketing/e-commerce team. We are the industry leaderin the manufacture ofstorage, organization and transport solutions for industrial, healthcare, custom design, and home storage use. As our Data Analyst, you'll be responsible for managing the master data set, developing reports, and troubleshooting data issues with particular focus on e-commerce data sets.

Other Responsibilities Include:

* Managing master data, including creation, updates, and deletion.

* Commissioning and decommissioning of data sets.

* Interpreting and presenting key findings and trends based on analytical results.

* Helping develop reports and analysis including KPI tracking tools

* Managing and designing the reporting environment, including data sources, security, and metadata.

* Assessing tests and implementing new or upgraded software and assisting with strategic decisions on new systems.

* Training end users on new reports and dashboards.

* Providing technical expertise on data storage structures, data mining, and data cleansing.

Qualifications Include:

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science; or an equivalent combination of experience and education.

* 3 years' work experience as a data analyst or in related field.

* Ability to analyze existing tools and databases and provide software solution recommendations.

* Understanding of general business, marketing & sales principles and associated KPIs

* High-level written and verbal communication skills with ability to translate business requirements into non-technical, lay terms

* Willingness to travel (10%+)
