Introduction to Role:

This role facilitates Security Control Assessments and other advanced-level monitoring activities within an authorized FedRAMP environment. To succeed, he/she will need a strong understanding of technical and non-technical security related system controls and an understanding of the various testing methods utilized to ascertain the effectiveness of those controls. The role works in a team atmosphere and is assigned technical sections and expected to create client-ready deliverables.

Responsibilities:

• Assess security vulnerabilities against the appropriate security frameworks




• First-level reviewer of drafted audit planning and reporting materials




• Prepare and review assessment reports




• Ensure cyber security policies are adhered to and that required controls are implemented




• Review and assess respective information system security plans to ensure control requirements are met




• Work from a standard protocol, utilizing a documented process




• Successfully resolve technical issues related to hardware and software from incoming customer contacts and proactive notification systems




• Work remotely via telephone, email, e-chat, and ticketing system to respond to first-level technical issues




• Collaborate across teams to resolve issues and help reproduce issues




• Responsible for implementing part or all of the technical solution, in accordance with an agreed technical design.

• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to communicate technical information effectively in English and de-escalate customer situations, when needed




• Capable of working under pressure and multitask in a fast-paced environment where priorities can shift quickly




• Resourceful in research and analysis, effectively drawing on technical knowledge and experience in combination with internal and external documentation to discover root cause and develop solutions




• Ability to work effectively in a team environment with a demonstrated ability to build and maintain positive relationships and team objectives

Skills That Set You Apart:

• Familiar with vulnerabilities and weaknesses related to OWASP Top 10




• Experience with vulnerability scanning tools




• Background or experience in object-oriented software development




• Background or experience in application security




• Security certifications (CEH, CISSP, etc.)




• Up-to-date on latest security regulations, alerts and vulnerabilities

Education and Experience Required:

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Systems, or related fields, or equivalent experience 3-5 years of working experience in relevant technologies and customer environments
