The Benefits Specialist is responsible for the administration and regulatory compliance off all the benefits for Friendship Senior Options associates.
Job duties include:
Maintain responsibility for organization compliance with federal, state and local legislation pertaining to all benefit plans.
Responsible for verifying accuracy and processing of vendor invoices and associate benefit deductions.
Manage and administer insurance programs, include; enrollment of associate benefits, termination of coverage, and ensuring notification of COBRA.
Plan and implement wellness programs encompassing the 8 Dimensions of wellness (Friendship Cares).
Coordinate annual open enrollment for all benefit eligible associates.
Manage all aspects of the workers compensation program including; filing accident reports, investigate accident site, interview injured employee and any witnesses. Maintains accurate files including all documentation and meets OSHA requirements. Manage recordkeeping forms 300, 301 and insure posting annual 300A report.
Manage third party relationships with brokers and vendors to continually assess effectiveness.
Administers all aspects of 401(k) program including loans, hardship withdrawals, and deferral changes. Oversee the annual 401(k) Website Approval for each associate requesting a loan, hardship, withdrawal, process all change’s, assists in the annual 401k audit and discrimination testing.
Ensures compliance with all regulatory agencies to maintain orderly files of summary plan descriptions, contracts, vendor reports, plan documents, correspondence, E-File 401(k) 5500 and E-File 5500 Health and Welfare Benefits Program with the DOL.
