Summary
Seeking a detail-oriented candidate who can prepare work to be accomplished by reading and studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, parts lists, gathering parts, tools and materials to produce store front doors and frames.
The positions are located at our Northport, AL and Tuscaloosa, AL facilities. Shift is 1st shift, between the hours of 6am-4pm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Use hand tools such as drills, screw drivers and impact wrenches
Read and interpret blueprints, drawings and work orders, process work orders by due dates provided
Read and use a tape measure
Read and perform calculations and measurements with numbers, fractions and decimals
Complete daily worksheets and forms, calculate necessary measurements and inspect work consistently and efficiently to meet production goals
Learn different aluminum profiles
Ensure the machine and tools are in good working order, perform daily cleaning and light maintenance on machinery/tools
Requirements
Must have basic computer knowledge
Must have the ability to read and understand measurements and dimensions
Must be able to read and understand assembly instructions and blueprints
Must have at least one year or more of experience working with hand tools, such as hammers, drills, screw drivers, etc. (prior experience working in the construction or carpentry field is a plus)
Must be detail-oriented and self-motivated with the ability to work independently and in a team environment
Physical Requirements
Must be able to lift, bend, twist, walk and reach frequently
Must have good hand/eye coordination
Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
Must have close visual acuity to perform the necessary duties and responsibilities
Must be able to work in non-climate-controlled environments (temperatures inside warehouse can be hot or cold depending on the season)
