Job Description Summary

The Rotational Molding Operator ensures the safe and efficient production of molded OES products within customer specifications and prepares products for shipping. We are offering a sign-on bonus of $1,000.00.

Essential Duties

• Reviews the production specifications of each product SKU scheduled for production prior to shift and asks clarifying questions


• Prepares, ignites and preheats roto molding ovens in preparation for production


• Weighs all raw material components as required by product specifications and records any necessary adjustments to material amounts


• Loads roto molding oven molds with each material component and uses visual indicators to recognize the appropriate time to add the next material component


• Continuously monitors the status of each mold for product readiness and makes any necessary adjustments to oven heat


• Turns off oven heat, removes lid of mold, removes finished product from mold and visually inspects each piece to ensure that it meets quality standards and customer specifications.


• Advises supervisor or lead of product quality issues, damage or inconsistencies in a timely manner to limit production loss


• Cools and stacks finished product in preparation for transfer to the trimming area


• Labels finished product


• Maintains a high level of awareness of surroundings and communicates issues or concerns that could potentially interfere with production or create an unsafe work environment


• Adheres to all established safety procedures and advises supervisor or lead of any potential safety hazards or concerns


• Maintains a clean and organized work station at all times to ensure the safety of self and others

Knowledge/Skills

• Ability to communicate verbally or in writing


• Ability to display safety orientation

Required Training or Certifications

• Relevant vocational training or certification (desired)


• 
  

  Proficient in: Putty knife, Safety knife, Rasp, Drills and hammers, and Pneumatic cutters

  
  

 

Physical/Mental/Environmental Demands

• This job involves the following physical demands:  Walking, climbing stairs/ladders, standing, climbing, bending, stretching, and using hands and fingers to hold, grasp, push, and lift items


• Lifting requirements are generally up to 40 pounds maximum


• Environmental conditions involve limited outdoor work; indoor work is generally warm during summer months


• Job responsibilities involve occasional use of cleaning chemicals
