Job Description:

GENERAL NATURE OF POSITION:

The trainer will be responsible for preparing all employees on training DC functions & materials. Training may include exempt, Management to Director level. The trainer will plan based on business projected forecast provided by Management to successfully integrate the population into the workforce. Will be based on functions, departments, and level of knowledge. The trainer must have the capabilities of drafting and delivering related materials and training processes as well as facilitate a successful adult learning process. The trainer will also be able to lead the training team (of leads, supervisors, and above) and delegate training efforts, responsibilities and prioritize tasks to support the DC operation.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Receiving recommendations from Training Leadership, Operations, & Support Functions, design and develop training, study materials, classroom training, SOPs, Best Methods, & checklists/audit sheets. Create and allocate any materials and training processes based on function. Must be able to oversee progress from beginning to end with new temps or Deckers employees. Apply visual, audio, or kinesthetic styles training to ensure employee captures information. Classroom & hands-on training on RF gun, Oracle, HJ equipment use validation through Raymond. Develop knowledge checks and assessments in partnership with Engineering/Operations/Leadership team for training courses & recommending corrective/coaching paths. Document all training and completed training for HR purposes and credit for validating purposes through High Jump. Introduce new methods help make the function of the job more efficient. Create, update, and document materials so that employees are educated on the most recent information. The trainer will occasionally participate in cross function coverage in the event support is needed. Must understand and be able to provide instructions in all DC functions and assist with visual Q’s and training materials. Must be able to follow the curriculum for newly promoted supervisors and managers.

     

SPECIAL SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS:


  • 3–5 years in training setting.

  • Create documents/SOPs/Best Methods in DC/Fulfillment setting

  • 2-5 years of experience delivering training with big box DC’s

  • Solid comprehension of methodologies, training, processes, and standards.

  • Advanced MS Office, Excel, PowerPoint.    

  • Ability to deliver material in classroom setting.

  • The ability to adapt in a diverse and multicultural environment.

  • Ability to understand WMS systems Oracle and High-Jump training.

  • Ability to understand all job functions in the DC and deliver through training.

  • Ability to communicate in English/Spanish.

  • Ability to capture new processes and translate into technical documents
