Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY

Aurora Casket Company, a Matthews International subsidiary, is seeking a qualified Shipping Clerkfor our Production Facility in the Aurora, IN area for our Memorialization business segment. The Shipping Clerkwill be responsible for will be responsible for verifying and keeping records on incoming and outgoing shipments and prepares items for shipment within our production facility.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

*You will be handling the shipping and receiving of materials and ensuring shipments meet specifications.
*You will be responsible for handling inventory counts.
*You will be assisting in the organization of the department including stocking and straightening shelves, pulling orders and other duties.
*You will be responsible for shipping labels and identifying shipping information.
*Other responsibilities within this department.

QUALIFICATIONS / REQUIREMENTS

*High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) preferred.
*3+ years of previous Shipping experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
*Ability to work overtime as necessary.

*Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk, hear and see.
*Regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
*Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
*Regularly exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, extreme cold & heat, risk of electrical shock, and toxic or caustic chemicals.
*The noise level in the work environment may be high.
