AVP, Claims Project Management at Chubb in Basking Ridge, New Jersey

The position is responsible for project management support for enhancing operational processes in step with intelligent process automation technological solutions. Reporting to and supporting the PMO Lead, the AVP will partner with Claims Optimization colleagues, business partners across the organization, internal clients, and external vendors as needed.

Key Responsibilities Include

• Control project processes including management reporting and benefit metrics monitoring and performance measurements against objectives


• Facilitate project prioritization reviews for tactical and strategic initiatives, aligning activities with business goals


• Provide actionable management insights related to project management processes and procedures


• Capabilities required at varying levels of ownership and governance, including overview support, to governance control, to direct project ownership; engagement can be at any entry point in the lifecycle


• Facilitate meetings, from ongoing weekly status, up to and including SteerCo’s

• Oversee lifecycle document management and retention capabilities


• Manage risk and incident processes including interfaces with integral liaison groups


• Oversee project work related to application and toolset deployments, enhancements and upgrades


• Establish and operationalize management information and business intelligence solutions


• Maintain project management standards and communications

The preferred candidate has a track record of project and program management working at all levels of lifecycle activity. A strong understanding of management reporting tools and meeting facilitation is optimal. Knowledge of the insurance industry is preferred but not essential. PMO and PMP background preferred. This is an individual contributor position, with no staff.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate strategic thinking skills and the ability to manage execution of short- and long-term objectives. Project, program, and change management experience is essential. The ability to solve problems through sustainable solutions is required with a high attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple competing priorities. The role is key in driving the relationships with internal business partners including IT and Field Operations. Strong interpersonal, collaboration and team working skills are imperative.
