Job Description:

The purpose of the Maintenance Managers role is to provide leadership to the maintenance departments responsible for equipment, property, buildings, and facilities for a manufacturing plant or multiple manufacturing plants. The Maintenance Manager will be primarily responsible for managing, implementing, and supporting best safety and environmental practices; identifying, troubleshooting and resolving process or maintenance issues; maintaining, repairing and updating all production equipment systems and facilities; managing and controlling maintenance costs; and overseeing and maintaining equipment performance.

Your Day-to-Day:

• Supervise and schedule plant mechanical trades in maintaining equipment and systems for maximum productivity levels.


• Supervise and schedule plant electrical trades in maintaining equipment and systems for maximum productivity levels.


• Lead Maintenance department to maintain all plant production equipment and facilities, buildings and grounds, and utility services.


• Continue to drive the implementation of Asset Care & Reliability and continuously improve program throughout plant.


• Manage implementation of capital projects.


• Maintain primary focus on repair- and/or replacement-type projects.


• Remain forward-looking for major capital expenditures based on asset life.


• Emphasize utilization of predictive technologies.


• Identify and troubleshoot potential process or maintenance problems and identify action plan to resolve issue and improve reliability and uptime.


• Ensure equipment and facility function as planned to avoid downtime and scrap.


• Participate in defining equipment inspection and collection of all maintenance requirements to allow an efficient working schedule in close collaboration with the reliability team.


• Assist in the identification of major equipment repair and replacement, keeping in mind opportunities for improvement in efficiency, costs, environmental stewardship, and safety.


• Proactively identify and implement best maintenance, safety, and environmental practices.


• Perform and document training and lead team-based process and equipment improvements utilizing Six Sigma and Lean tools. Update JSA's, as needed.


• Manage projects to include obtaining contractor quotes, design help, directing contractor crews, and training of operating and Maintenance personnel.


• Administer and maintain necessary employment-related issues and process, including performance management system for direct reports.


• Maintain and enforce good housekeeping strategies and methodologies.


• Maintain Maintenance budget.


• Manage MRO responsibilities.


• Manage fleet of mobile equipment.

What You Bring to the Team:

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited university, engineering degree is preferred.


• 5+ years' demonstrated success in managing equipment maintenance and reliability for a large industrial complex.


• Solid knowledge in predictive maintenance programs, power transmission, pneumatics, hydraulics, electrical systems ranging from 110 to 4160 voltages including working knowledge of NFPA 70E.


• Excellent interpersonal communication and proven experience in teambuilding.
