About the Position

Ameren is looking for students aspiring to pursue a career within the gas and/or electric utility industry!

Temporary summer help position isavailable in Cape Girardeau, MO. Candidates must be committed to working the summer schedule Monday - Friday. (Typically, 40 hours per week). Candidates may be requested to work occasional overtime based on needs of the department/Company.

Duties

• Cleaning and painting residential meters, regulator stations, and industrial meter locations in the district to meet code requirements for corrosion mitigation


• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

A high school diploma or GED equivalent, required. Active students in a Jr. College or four year University required. Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.

Other

Pay rate for this position is $14.00 per hour with paid holidays. There is no residency requirement. This position includes performance of DOT-covered safety sensitive functions. Applicants will be subject to pre-employment screening including a DOT drug screen.

New hires must also obtain and maintain a Class E Driver License (upon offer for a position).
