Overview

SJS Executives, LLC (SJS) of Virginia Beach, VA is seeking a driven, self-motivated, ambitious and productive Sales Account Executive to contribute to the company's paint and powder coating division growth, sales and revenue.

The right candidate will already understand industrial sales account management and how to leverage this opportunity to increase his or her annual earnings through base salary and commission by actively growing his or her customer base.

Responsibilities


  • The Sales Account Executive will work quasi-independently to:


  • Develop, manage and grow a new portfolio of commercial/industrial accounts to achieve annual, quarterly and monthly revenue objectives/sales quotas

  • Sustain long-term working relationships with commercial and industrial clients in the Hampton Roads Region of Virginia that need paint, ceramic coating and powder coating services

  • Create, maintain and update detailed client records/Customer Relationship Management (CRM) files

  • Meet and teleconference with customers to document their production requirements and technical specifications in detail; collect relevant customer drawings and documents for production

  • Report regularly to management on the status of accounts, sales and transactions

  • Set sales targets and develop sales strategies aligned with company objectives

  • Monitor sales metrics (e.g., sales results, profit margins, growth trends, annual forecasts)

  • Suggest actions to improve sales department performance and identify new opportunities for growth.


Qualifications



  • Qualifications


  • BA/BS degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Industrial Psychology or similar relevant field

  • Five (5) or more years of successful career experience as a Sales Account Manager or Sales Account Executive for an industrial operation, preferably a paint or coatings operation

  • Hands-on experience in sales and customer relationship management and an ability to deliver an excellent customer experience.

  • Power user of MS Office (MS Excel in particular) and Adobe Pro

  • An understanding of basic financial concepts relevant to sales like profit margins, overhead rates, material costs, Cost of Goods Sold, etc.

  • Excellent communication, writing, persuasion and negotiation skills; a knack for detail, especially when documenting customer technical specifications and requests like sizes, coating types, quantities, deadlines, etc.

  • An ability to deliver projects and answer inquiries on time, whether the deliverables are for an external customer or an internal customer like the Director of SJS Industrial or the Chief Operating Officer

  • Business acumen with a problem-solving attitude.
