Chubb Insurance Solutions Agency, (CISA), a Chubb owned fully licensed agency, manages the distribution of all Chubb products on behalf of North American Field Operations.  Chubb is looking to significantly expand our agency distribution and this role will be critical in these growth efforts to find, onboard and track newly appointed agents as they develop their Chubb relationship across all business and industry segments.  Products and programs include admitted and non-admitted Personal Risk Services, Small and Mid-Market Commercial Insurance, Agribusiness, and Accident & Health.  The Business Development Specialist will report to the Vice President of Marketing and Producer Development. 

 

The Marketing and Producer Development team is seeking a motivated and energetic Business Development Specialist to support distribution expansion initiatives and strategic marketing campaigns to maximize agent engagement, growth and profit.  Excellent communication and organizational skills are a critical requirement for this team member who must be able to multi-task, collaborate effectively with others and independently prioritize responsibilities.  A professional demeanor, attention to detail and positive attitude are a must.

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

The Business Development Specialist will assist with customer relationship management (CRM) strategies and technologies to manage and analyze agency interactions and data throughout the agency lifecycle, with the goal of improving business relationship and agent engagement, while driving sales growth and customer retention.  The Business Development Specialist will work with Corporate and Digital Marketing staff and be responsible for assisting in organizing campaigns and developing marketing strategies to support these initiatives. 

 

This work will be a critical component in the smooth operation of the Marketing and Producer Development department and the attainment of its goals, as well as for the long-term growth of this dynamic, customer-oriented growing company.  Responsibilities include:


  • Promote distribution expansion through the entire agent customer journey process from the initial prospecting and vetting phases through onboarding, training, development, and continued agency management.

  • Apply target market appetite knowledge across the breadth of Chubb products and business segments to effectively recommend appointment type, training, marketing and underwriting resources. 

  • Collaborate with Corporate and Digital Marketing Staff to create email marketing, social media, and online advertising solutions.  Assist in the organization of traditional and digital campaigns to facilitate success.

  • Support marketing executives in organizing various projects and promotional activities.  Assist in the development and execution of a customer relationship management (CRM) strategy that will give customer-facing staff detailed information on target market business and growth opportunities.   

  • Compile and maintain information on agents across different channels -- or points of contact between the agency and the company -- which could include the agent’s  website, telephone, direct mail, marketing materials and social media.

  • Employ marketing analytics techniques to gather and disseminate important data (web analytics, statistical, financial and non-financial information).

  • Monitor and report on KPIs for newly appointed agents and brokers.

  • Conduct and organizing research and analyze data.

  • Organize and host webinars and other presentations.

  • Work closely with employees in other functions, such as production, sales and distribution, and agency education.

  • Undertaking daily administrative tasks to ensure the functionality and coordination of the department’s activities.

  • Communicate directly with internal and external clients to build credibility and develop business relationships.

 

 

Competencies:


  • Good understanding of distribution management and marketing principles

  • Demonstrable ability to multi-task and adhere to deadlines

  • Well-organized with a customer-oriented approach

  • Good general knowledge of insurance products, appetites, insurance agent operations

  • Exquisite communication and interpersonal skills

  • Quantitative analysis and comfort with reading, compiling and presenting data

  • Understand how offline marketing can integrate with online marketing

  • Experience in web design and content management are a plus

  • Additional background in communications, specifically writing and editing are beneficial

  • Excellent knowledge of MS Office, and other online applications (CRM tools, financial analytics tools, Google Analytics etc.) to monitor and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) for newly appointed agents. 

 Education and Experience


  • Associate or Bachelor degree preferred

  • At least 2 years of industry experience in marketing insurance and/or advising clients on insurance programs and products preferred
