Position Description:
The Digital Transformation Director will develop strategy and an implementation plan to transform ISCD and position it as a recognized leader in its market with respect to the use of digital tools and technologies to dramatically improve efficiency and to enable solutions not possible with current methodologies. This person will lead a multidiscipline team in identifying opportunities within the company’s marketspace where digital solutions could have a significant impact, identifying and deploying within the company the particular digital technologies best suited for our market, training employees across the company in the use of the digital technologies deployed, and collaborating with all Business Units to help them sell digital technologies and solutions to our customers.

The Digital Transformation Director will work closely with the leadership from our Business Units and Corporate as they progress through their own digital transformation, to assure the company is able to benefit from their work and stays aligned with corporate goals.

This role will work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure consistency through all digital channels while providing forward-thinking ideas to build and maintain a strong digital presence.

This role is part of the AMETEK ISCD leadership team and reports to the Vice President and General Manager of ISCD.

It is anticipated that this role will be home-based although if the selected candidate lives close to an AMETEK ISCD site, the role could be office based.

• Develop and implement a framework that clearly describes what the company digital offering will be and how it addresses the company’s market objectives while also reflecting the goals of the ISCD’s digital strategy.
• Collaborate with company leaders across all parts of the Division, including IT, cyber security, operations, and executive leadership, to progress digital transformation rapidly and in an integrated manner.
• Work with BU leaders to identify demonstration project opportunities. Scope, define, budget, and implement. Demonstration projects must resonate with the customer and provide tangible benefits.
• Develop training for using new digital technologies and deliver to company employees.
• Enhance the data and analytics strategy practices, lead the transformation (and assure the ongoing relevance) of data and analytics strategy in collaboration with the Sr Leadership team.
• Expand the organization’s research and analytics offerings, especially in emerging analytical approaches, skills and technologies, focusing them on digital business innovation.
• Establish a roadmap on digital transformation path to strengthen the company's short-term performance, while meeting the long-term strategic objectives.
• Assess challenges and opportunities and/or organizational dynamics and proactively employ appropriate actions to quickly resolve problems and ensure projects/objectives are achieved.
• Determine which digital technologies are most appropriate for the company’s market and deploy.

Position Requirements:
Education:

Bachelor’s degree, in Engineering, Computer Science, business, or a quantitative field.

Experience:

• 10+ years’ experience utilizing advanced digital technologies and 5+ years hands on experience as a user of digital tools
• Experience managing to a budget and controlling cost
• Demonstrated success collaborating across disciplines/departments
• Experience leading a digital transformation effort
• Communicating sophisticated technical and digital concepts to business executives using appropriate and relevant business language

Qualifications:

• Team player who has demonstrated capabilities in the following areas: excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills, well developed problem-solving skills; solid organizational skills; and the demonstrated ability to be self-directed and effectively relate to all levels of an organization.
• Solid technical background, preferred in software, and passion for technology
• Own and execute projects with well-defined milestones and business impact objectives

• Have a sense of curiosity, adaptability and stay current on new technologies
• Must be able to multitask, work efficiently and effectively in a fast-paced environment, maintain a professional demeanor in potentially stressful situations, and take a proactive approach to problem identification and a creative approach to resolution
