Talent Solutions Manager

Reports to: VP Human Resources NAM

Location: Lansdale, PA

The Talent Solutions Manager is responsible for developing innovative strategies to ensure SKF's talent practices drive the future success of the organization. Focused on Talent Management with oversight of our Recruiting function, the Talent Solutions Manager will work closely with SKF HR Leadership to identify, develop and implement consistent strategic talent initiatives designed to grow SKF's leadership, employee engagement and performance across the company. The incumbent will also manage the recruiting process, with an eye on candidate and hiring manager experience, stepping in with internal hiring manager or candidate concerns, and collaborating with our external recruiting team on process, state of requisitions and cost of hiring.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Serve as a relationship manager and trusted advisor to the HR Business Partners to assess and drive talent strategies and solutions - further providing tools, resources and training as needed.

  • Partner with management to provide continuity in the leadership pipeline by thoroughly evaluating the company/s talent pool and development needs.

  • Manage the maintenance and execution of the performance development and management system, including current job descriptions, standards of performance and performance evaluation instruments.

  • Utilizes data and analytics to create insights and embeds in decision support as part of talent and leadership practices.


  • Oversees succession management for executives, including aligning 'Talent to Value' practices, and ensures plans are in place to ensure success of incumbents, as well as accelerating development of talent to increase readiness.

  • Defines talent management and leadership development capabilities and frameworks required to support business, including talent to value, critical role identification, definition of leadership potential, succession management and talent assessment.


  • Is a thought leader in Talent and Leadership and leverages external thinking and research to shape our internal practices to build knowledge and awareness

  • Assess and identify skill gaps and work cross-functionally to build upon needed proficiencies

  • Ensure that organization-wide talent management and performance development initiatives are focused and aligned on improving operational and program efficiencies and effectiveness.

  • Serve as the global talent and recruiting contact and representative for NAM; ex. attending talent and performance meetings, participating in projects related to these topics and communicating back to the NAM team.

  • Serve as internal SKF recruiting contact with full oversight and management of our fully outsourced recruiting center team.

  • Work closely with the HRIS manager to collect and coordinate aggregate data for talent pool and translate data into insights through analysis that drives deliberate action plans at the appropriate levels.

Required Skills/Abilities:


  • Superior verbal and written communication skills.


  • Strong presentation skills.

  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.

  • Thorough understanding of recruiting methods and best practices, as well as applicable policies and federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations.

  • Ability to design and implement full-cycle performance management programs.

  • Self-driven and acts with little direction

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resource Management or Organizational Development required.

  • Master's Degree in Human Resources Management or related field preferred.

  • Experience working in a multi-state, multi-facility environment preferred.

  • Minimum 7 years of broad HR experience including talent management.

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a leadership role with demonstrated success in managing and developing professional level employees.

  • Experience with developing and delivering supervisory and leadership training
