Job Description:

Adecco is currently hiring a safety minded individual with 3 plus years of Yard Mule Driving experience for a company located in Baytown TX. Essential functions of the position include maintaining safe and efficient operations by switching and moving chemical containers, tanks and trailers. This career opportunity is temp to hire, $17 hr. JOB SUMMARY

The Yard Mule Operator is responsible for the movement of trailers, export containers, and tankers as instructed by the Fill Plant or Warehouse Lead person.
Employment Variables:
Overtime and weekend work as required to meet the shipping schedule
Working Conditions:
The Yard Mule Operator must work year-round outside and in a non-temperature-controlled warehouse environment. Powered conveyors and slippery footing are encountered in the area. Trucks move around the outside of the Warehouse and back up to and pull away from the unloading bay and pump pads.
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:

Minimum:
Credentials, Licenses, Certifications: High School Graduate or equivalent; valid driver's license
Desirable:
Previous experience with yard mule operation; previous experience driving a tractor trailer, ability to procure a CDL
In addition to the duties outlined in the job summary, the Yard Mule Operator performs the following tasks:
Reports mechanical breakdowns to the Maintenance Supervisor
Operates the yard mule in a safe manner
Assists in site housekeeping
Assists the Warehouse or Fill Plant as needed
The Yard Mule Driver must:

Have be a High School Graduate or equivalent
Work 8- 12 hr shifts, Monday- Friday
Work OVERTIME and WEEKENDS as required
Pass a required Basic Plus, Fit, and Pulmonary test
