Arthrex is a global medical device company and a leader in new product development and medical education in orthopedics.  Arthrex is actively seeking a Senior IT Infrastructure Analyst – Enterprise Storage (NAS, SAN) and Linux Systems Engineer to join its global Infrastructure Platforms team at our site in Naples, Florida.  The Data Center Services team is responsible for compute, storage and global data center facilities.  Our mission is to design, build, support and protect the infrastructure paths and systems that make Arthrex’s mission possible.  Innovation, scalability and security are all cornerstones of our department within the global IT team.  Excellent communication and analytical skills, engineering experience, compute and storage experience and a Bachelor’s degree in a related field are required for success in this position.  IT based certifications also strongly encouraged at the Associate to Professional levels.  Come join our growing team of network professionals who support our global manufacturing, logistics, sales and education departments in Helping Surgeons Treat Their Patients Better.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:


  1. Lead small-to-mid-sized IT projects and project teams.

  2. Analyze and recommend solutions, upgrades, and services for streamlining and system improvements.

  3. Support of hardware/software maintenance to include troubleshooting, installation and upgrades, Tier 3 support.

  4. Support multiple locations worldwide (domestic and international travel may be required).

  5. Complete IT operational tasks, project tasks, and end user support duties as assigned.

  6. Assist with architecture and design of infrastructure solutions and methodology.

  7. Resolve incidents through effective troubleshooting methodology, Tier 3.

  8. Maintain accurate updated documentation while performing essential job duties.

  9. Liaison with vendors, partners, and external resources.

  10. Assist other analyst with troubleshooting and fulfillment processes.

  11. Ability to train other staff on technical operations.

  12. Subject matter expert on the operation, maintenance, management, and deployment of multiple computer infrastructure hardware/software solutions.

Education and Experience:


  • Bachelor’s degree required; Master’s degree preferred.

  • 5 years of experience in supporting computer infrastructure hardware, applications, and systems required.

  • Computer infrastructure-centered certifications preferred.

 

Knowledge and Skill Requirements/Specialized Courses and/or Training:


  • In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Windows networking and design, security, Local and Wide Area network design. Experience with servers, virtualization and storage systems.

  • Required Experience and Skills

    • Level 3+ technical Support for the following platforms

      • Enterprise SAN/NAS systems.  Experience with EMC Isilon and Unity systems is a plus.

      • Enterprise Linux operating systems.  Experience with RHEL, Oracle Linux, and/or Oracle Virtualization Manager is a plus.



    • Experience managing Operating System life-cycles in a large, complex environment



  • Optional Experience and Skills

    • Level 2+ technical support for enterprise-class servers (e.g. server blade systems) is a plus

    • Level 2+ technical support for fibre channel switches and storage networks is a plus
