Overview

i3 is seeking a Universal Mission Simulator (UMS) Integrator. The selected applicant will support regular scans and implementation of patches of systems and networks to determine if they are operating securely and ensure that data is protected from both internal and external threats. Additionally, they will make assessments of assigned systems to determine the system security posture and ensure compliance to security policies, procedures and standards with regards to Risk Management Framework (RMF).

Responsibilities

Support Army RMF assessments for software applications, Army Information Systems and Closed Restricted Networks.
• Design and recommend security policies and procedures.


• Manages information systems and packages using eMASS.


• Develop policy governing the organizations information systems.


• Monitor, evaluate, and maintain systems according to DoD and industry security best practices and safeguard internal information systems and databases.


• Review system configurations to ensure compliance with security requirements and compliance with established standards.


• Investigates security violations and recommend solutions.


• Provide reports to internal and external customers in response to queries and requests for computer security information.


• Consult on tasks, provide leadership and guidance for others.


• Give recommendations for product upgrades, patches and general security measures to secure and/or mitigate threats for various clients.

Qualifications

• B.S. Degree from an accredited academic institution in a relevant technical discipline or three (3) or more years of relevant technical experience. Experience may be substituted in lieu of a degree.


• Must be able to obtain and maintain an active Secret Clearance. Secret Clearance preferred.


• Experience working with system and network vulnerability scanning tools.


• DoD 8570 Compliance preferred


• Possess CompTIA Security+ (SY0-501 or newer) or be able to obtain within 90 days of employment.

• Must be willing to travel up to 25% in support of this position.

Additional Desired Skill Sets:

• Strong Help Desk Support/IT Support background.


• Knowledge and understanding of DOD STIGs.


• Experience with SCAP, ACAS, and HBSS a plus.


• Experience with the DOD Risk Management Framework (RMF).
