Position Description

The Program Manager provides support for the Solutions Engineering Leadership team in providing governance, alignment, management, and optimization across multiple projects to enable Solution Engineering initiatives. Institute and manage governance structure, processes, and procedures to accomplish overall objectives and ensure teams meet deadlines for deliverables. Align top-down vision, goals, and objectives from the Solution Engineering Leader's strategy through to successful completion of projects for program objectives. Lead and manage regular reviews for accountability and successful management of projects and stakeholders. Lead the optimization of performance across the Solutions Engineering organization to achieve the best functional and technical value.

Responsibilities


  • Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of senior leadership and departmental heads

  • Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with cross-functional departments to ensure effective implementation of methods and procedures

  • Assist and communicate with leadership in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation

  • Identify expedient and comprehensive solutions to customer-impacting issues

  • Create six months to multi-year roadmaps in alignment with business and Solutions Engineering strategies

  • Involved in activities that require strategic vision, analysis, and direct hands-on project leadership

  • Staff planning and prioritization assignment across teams

  • Manage key vendor relationships

  • Provide continuity on internal and external communications

  • Comprehensive knowledge of the overall department function

  • Create and update monthly dashboards to track key changes in metrics

  • Manage internal business process

  • Assist and communicate with leadership in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation

  • Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity

  • Assist with people ops and leadership with new hires, including documentation and onboarding, and collaborate to address and resolve all employee concerns

  • Build and develop relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations, and help to define new operational strategies, working with leadership on special projects

  • Serve as a process subject matter expert, handling inquiries and developing action plans to address them, and assisting with the preparation and dissemination of communications

  • Set goals for the programs and track progress, set-backs, and overall performance

  • Track, record, and compile project and organization performance data

  • Analyze program results and present findings to management

  • Seek out new and creative project ideas to implement

Qualifications


  • Undergraduate degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or other degree requiring analytical aptitude or equivalent relevant work experience.

  • 3-5 years of product, project management, software development, and/or technology analyst experience preferred.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of functional teams, and strong interpersonal skills for supporting and advising sales teams on proper systems and processes.

  • Proficiency in the MS Office suite of tools with an emphasis on Excel and PowerPoint is required. Knowledge ofSalesforce.complatform is a plus.

  • Strong attention to detail, superb organizational skills, and ability to multi-task and prioritize.

  • Ability to work across functional boundaries.

  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a number of variables in dynamic situations.

  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.

  • Ability to view issues and concerns from multiple perspectives, and to keep the "big picture" in focus.

  • Ability to be flexible in work schedule and to meet strict deadlines under minimal supervision.

    • Base salary range: $84,995-$92,395


    • Full-time Zayo employees are also eligible for discretionary quarterly short-term and long-term incentive cash bonuses which are based on the performance of the Company, an employee's business segment, and the individual employee
