The Supply Chain Consultant will work at the LMI Tysons, VA facility and primarily support to Headquarters Air Force Logistics Readiness Division (HAF A4LR). This position requires working collaboarively with both functional and technical consultants and overseeing select project areas.

Responsibilities

    Lead analysis to identify supply chain risk and risk mitigation activities to improve the health and resiliency of the DoD supply chain.
  • Work with teams analyze supply chain operations and data to provide decision support as it relates to Air Force logistics functions in Air Transportation, Material Management, Distribution and Ground Transportation.

  • Provide Air Force level working groups with improved data quality, business process rules, policies, and data strategies associated with equipment and spares requirements.

  • Develop cost-effective solutions and interventions to optimize supply chain and logistical efficiency.

  • Provide program management support and serve as the subject matter expert for supply chain analysis, including the area of supply chain risk management (SCRM). Work collaboratively with federal government agencies, and industry in developing overarching supply chain risk management strategies.

  • Attend SCRM-related working groups, both within the Air Force as well as with the Office of the Secretary of Defense such as Industrial Policy.

  • Promote supply chain programs and share relevant policy updates and supply chain risk challenges and solutions.

  • Perform data analysis, develop briefings and papers for all levels of leadership, and conduct research in support of supply chain initiatives.

  • Communicate with clients at both the GS and SES level through written reports and oral presentations.

Qualifications


  • Graduate degree in business administration, supply chain management, acquisition, or similar logistics discipline.

  • 15+ plus years' experience in Air Force Acquisition, Supply Chain, Logistics, or Risk Management desired.

  • Knowledge of applicable government supply chain strategy, regulations, legislations, or guides desired. Knowledge of methods and data sources to assess supply chain risk across multiple tiers of the supply chain preferred.

  • Good quantitative and analytical skills.

  • High energy, enthusiasm, tact, ability to effectively interact with senior executives from Government and industry.

  • Availability for occasional travel.

  • Active Secret clearance with the ability to upgrade to a TS/SCI required; Top Secret/Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) preferred.
