The Retail ProductComplianceSpecialist works with nearly every function of the company from the Legal team to Merchandising and Web Management to our supplier. In this role, you will partner with Merchandising and Vendor Management to review the list of the new seasonal product assortment and identify a process to obtain product compliance for all seasonal products to be introduced. You'll also work with Product Stewardship teammates and Vendor Management to design systems to better track and ensure compliant product moving forward.

Inside the Job

Your day-to-day work will involve:



  • Supplier Outreach and Data Collection. You will engage with retail suppliers and collect appropriate documentation, discuss requirements, and review and store regulatory data relating to product compliance in North America


  • Advising and Consulting. You'll establish a close partnership with Merchandising and Vendor Management to ensure compliant products are sourced and sold


  • Development. You will work with Vendor Management and Product Stewardship teams to develop and establish retail compliance systems and processes


  • Stay Informed. You'll stay abreast with changes to regulatory and agency requirements, and recommend actions required to maintain compliance of active products

What You Bring

Needed skills and experience for this role include:


  • A Bachelor's degree (Science or related technical area preferred)

  • Three years of relevant experience

  • Working knowledge of product regulations

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, organizational, and technical writing skills

  • Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office as well as Microsoft SharePoint

  • Customer service focus

  • Ability to understand and communicate technical information effectively to people with various levels of technical knowledge

  • Ability to embrace change in an evolving work environment

  • Self-motivation to perform with minimum supervision

  • Ability to communicate effectively with people at various levels both internally and externally, as well as the ability to develop strong relationships

  • Ability to assess priorities and determine a course of action with minimal day-to-day supervision and to anticipate, recognize, and respond effectively to changes that affect project plans

  • Ability to learn and navigate new data management systems

  • Ability to travel as needed
