Position Description
In this role you will be responsible for:
- Facilitating of inpatient bed assignment for admissions and transfers
- Collaborating with the emergency department, transport, ICUs, inpatient nurse managers, and physicians to assure timely flow of patients and clinically appropriate patient bed assignment
- Helping facilities efficient operations of department
- Arranging for the efficient and orderly admission of inpatients and admission of individuals who have hospital based outpatient testing or procedures
- Facilitating the work of the admission area to meet departmental and Medical Center goals
- Coordinating and ensuring adherence to financial and registration policies affecting the Revenue Cycle and Patient Care Maintain open communication with various departments
- Communicating all changes to staff in writing. Provides training to new employees, assist with department scheduling

If you possess the following qualifications, please apply immediately:
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- 1-3 years lead experience in a patient access/registration required
- Patient registration, third-party billing, precertification, insurance verification, and patient cash collection experience preferred
Physical Demands:
- Physical Requirements: Majority of time during shift spent sitting; standing occasionally; occasional lifting and carrying (no more than 20 lbs.)
- Vision: Near vision and exposure to video display terminals (VDTs)
- Hearing: Ability to hear normal conversation
- Working Conditions: Office environment
