Located in our Denver office, you will support the Carbon Drive Team through various activities that will enhance your knowledge of Production and Inventory Planning. It's an exciting opportunity to join the Gates Carbon Drive Team! Starting in May, you will work with the team as a Summer Intern in our Downtown Denver Office. This internship has the possibility to continue part-time during the Fall Semester.

  • You'll be working with the Carbon Drive Team and helping manage the supply and the demand of the business.

  • You will play a key role production planning for bicycle drivetrain Taiwan operations, production scheduling and inventory management to support Taiwan production operations, and communicating with domestic/overseas vendors.

  • This is an exciting opportunity for you because you will gain exposure of working with international partners within the bicycle, power sports and fitness industry.

  • You'll also manage inventor, work with suppliers and customers as well as control the follow of Carbon Drive products in and out of the warehouse

Key responsibilities (to name a few):

  • Analyzing customer demand to coordinate the flow of products from multiple vendors to the consolidation warehouse for customer pickup.

  • Communicating with vendors using collaborative cloud-based software to share data that ensures prioritization and on-time delivery

  • Working with the S&OP and finance teams to balance purchase orders, reconcile inventory, and arrange timely payment to suppliers.

  • Collaborating with engineering and commercialization manager on the process of bringing new products to market.

  • Working with the transportation and customs compliance teams for freight quotes, expediting, and tracking of essential goods for operations.

  • Assisting customer service and other supply chain analysts in conveying the delivery of products and relay any potential delays to the customer.

  • Reporting on key KPIs to help the Mobility team identify trends and meet annual goals









ABOUT YOU

  • Current undergraduate student with graduation date between May 2021 and May 2022

  • Pursuing a degree in Supply Chain Management field or related degree

  • Strong communication skills - written, oral and presentation

  • Proficiency in systems including Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

  • Strong Excel experience with developing graphs, linked spreadsheets, pivot tables and Excel formulas. Microsoft Access skills a plus

  • Must have excellent interpersonal, influential and organizational skills

  • Comfort working with large data sets to deliver comprehensive insights

  • Experience running projects while maintaining progress against established timelines and quality guidelines

  • Manufacturing Industry knowledge desirable

  • Mandarin language skills is a plus

  • Relocation is not provided for this position

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship

  • Ability to work in Downtown Denver

PAY & BENEFITS

  • Summer Internship - Hourly Rate between $15.00 - $18.00

  • Not eligible for employee benefits

  • 40 hours a week
