The Opportunity:

As the Sr Manager Supply Chain Analytics, you will grow and manage a high-performing team that works across the entire Supply Chain organization, providing the data and analytics needed to make the best decisions for the business. With an ambitious mission to establish automated analytics where Excel-based analysis is still a significant part of our processes, you will drive the overall roadmap for a team that will be leveraging not only data science but also storytelling and user research. You will ensure analytics and insights are actionable for cross-functional teams and be responsible for pushing the business forward on all fronts, supported by your deep understanding of our data and operations.

Responsibilities include managing the team, prioritizing initiatives to align with supply chain strategy, and securing a close relationship with IT to drive a single source of truth for all GSC. This role is also responsible for setting the performance metrics framework to measure analytics adoption and success, and for communicating with business partners.

This is a critical role tasked with defining and executing an analytics vision to support supply chain strategy. It requires staffing and management of a team with vastly different technical, supply chain, and business backgrounds.

The role demands a strong, well-versed leader with effective management and communication skills who can collaborate with and influence supply chain, business, and IT partners.

What Your Impact Will Be:


  • Focus on analytics, optimization, and process improvements within the Mattel Supply Chain to develop future supply chain strategies to meet customer and business demands

  • Identify opportunities in the current supply chain and develop new tools and processes to optimize for the future

  • Build scalable and increasingly complex supply chain analytics and processes to optimize with goals to deliver excellent customer experience while balancing operating cost

  • Grow & manage a team of high-performing analyst managers and analysts

  • Maintain a single source of truth for KPIs and operational data and provide front-line experiments and experiment roadmaps to drive new initiatives and optimizations

  • Drive cross-functional initiatives and package research findings and deliverables for senior leadership in a growth environment

  • Analyze complex business problems, operational scenarios, and related financial implications that enable leadership to make informed business decisions and drive operational excellence

  • Consult with internal customers and cross-functional business leaders to identify gaps/opportunities for process improvements, revenue growth, and cost savings

  • Collect business requirements and define operating metrics / KPIs

  • Provide timely and accurate reports, dashboards, KPIs, operational scorecards, and other leading indicators that report historical performance, as well as provide insight into future trends

  • Partner closely with internal stakeholders to drive new insights and product ideas into the supply chain lifecycle and hire a team of data scientists for analytics and user research

  • Take on the role of an organizational thought leader for how to best use data and research insights to guide decision-making


What We're Looking For:

Required:


  • Bachelor'sdegree in a relevant field, such as Supply Chain Management, Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Math, Engineering, Economics, or Business Administration.

  • 8+ years or more in operational supply chain positions (plan, source, make, deliver) or supply chain IT.

  • Three to five years in a manager-level role in a supply chain strategy group, COE or project management office (PMO).

  • 4+ years experience in leading, hiring, and managing a team.

  • Experience with data visualization tools/dashboard development (e.g., Google Data Studio, Tableau, etc.)

  • Thorough understanding of Master Data Management, Automated Data Quality

  • Strong background/experience with ETL, data mining, statistical analysis, data processing with large amounts of data.

  • Proficiency in data modeling best practices, and designing/building data pipelines

  • SQL query writing and experience implementing and working with data warehouses.

  • Experience leading or heavily participating in analytics projects or technology implementations.

  • Hands-on experience with R, Python, SQL, and relational databases. Experience with Snowflake is a plus.

  • Proven ability to collaborate and influence various roles and profiles across business, IT, and enterprise analytics areas.

  • Talent for translating data into easy-to-understand, actionable insights.

Preferred:


  • Master's degree in Supply Chain Management, Analytics, Computer Science, Applied Math, Engineering, or Business Administration (MBA).

  • Continuing analytics education, training and/or certification through MOOCS and/or professional organizations.
