The Maintenance Manager is responsible for managing shop operations and supervising maintenance staff, including but not limited to machinists, mechanics, welders and/or other shop technicians; ensuring operations and maintenance work are performed safely and effectively in accordance with company standards, federal and state regulations, and safety procedures.
Detailed Description:
Provide management and oversight to the shop operations and daily performance of all workers in the shop or assigned on a job order team/crew, coordinating, scheduling and prioritizing activities and assignments
Supervise the repairs, replacement, rebuilding, shipping, and maintenance of equipment in the shop and field
Keep track of all assets, materials and equipment, ordering necessary supplies and tools
Conduct inspections of all equipment and work activities, to ensure they are built or performed to specifications and instructions
Provide any necessary printouts and instructions on work orders for all shop personnel
Monitor requests or calls for tool or equipment orders, to ensure the crew is provided with adequate and proper supplies
Ensure the district's equipment and maintenance files are in compliance with DOT regulations

Job Requirements:
Strong trouble shooting, mechanical problem diagnosis, and repair work
Intermediate to advanced level computer skills with a proven ability to utilize Microsoft Office Suite and other software applications to drive efficiency in productivity
Knowledge of equipment types and components
Knowledge of all equipment safety standards and practices
Able to build engaging relationships at all levels in the organization as well as with customers and effectively influence decisions

Ability to work independently as well as part of a team, prioritizing tasks with many distractions, and managing multiple tasks and projects simultaneously to meet challenging deadlines
Willing to work a possible 24-hour shift that can include days or nights, as well as weekends and holidays, and must stay alert and focused during the shift while performing repetitive and routine activities
Able to perform mathematical calculations (addition, subtraction, division and multiplication) using whole numbers, fractions, and decimals, to make job related calculations.
Demonstrate clear communication skills including ability to read, write and speak English, and to promptly follow verbal and written directions in English along with the ability to establish and maintain effective rapport with all employees at different levels both in the office and in the field
Basic keyboarding or other small motor skills
Able to operate heavy equipment or vehicles
Ability to travel as needed to other offices and drilling rig work sites, occasionally requiring extended travel to remote locations and/or overnight stay(s) outside normal office area
Must be able to lift and move items weighing 50 pounds or less
Ability to climb or work in awkward or cramped positions and walk or stand for prolonged periods

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED equivalent
10 + years of work experience in shop maintenance or equivalent function
3+ years of experience in a position managing or supervising maintenance personnel
Verifiable supervisory experience in maintenance work or remanufacturing work
Must have and maintain valid state-issued driver's license, be eligible to drive a Company vehicle and meet the requirements of the Company's vehicle program, policy and/or guidelines
Preferred Qualifications:
Prior experience in oil field related jobs
Working Conditions:
Employee must work with an emphasis on safety for themselves and others, including coworkers and third parties, including wearing any required personal protective equipment (PPE) at all designated times. This position requires the employee to work outdoors for long periods of time in all types of weather conditions typical of the area where the job is located, including dust, humidity, sleet, snow, rain, mud, cold, heat, wind, and other inclement weather. Working conditions for this position may involve exposure to varying outdoor conditions, including environmental chemicals, gases, noise, dampness, fumes, radiation and heights.
