Job Description:

An excellent opportunity is now available for a Blood Bank Supervisor CLS is now available with a San Francisco Bay Area Non-Profit Medical Center.

The Blood Bank Supervisor will report directly to the Director Laboratory Services, and will oversee a team of 10.  The Laboratory Supervisor will be responsible for all training of Clinical Laboratory Scientists, Laboratory Technicians and will assist with any and all training =.

The Supervisor Laboratory Cord Blood Bank CLS will manage the daily operations of the Blood Bank, write/enforce laboratory policies and procedures, and validate new equipment. The Supervisor Laboratory Cord Blood Bank CLS will function as Manager of Laboratory in their absence. 

The Laboratory Supervisor is responsible for coordinating the testing of biological specimens and reviewing test results and quality assessment data. This position is also responsible for providing skilled technical oversight in the laboratory.

 The Blood Bank Supervisor serves as the primary on-site supervisor in regard to developing, maintaining and administering Transfusion Service policies, processes and procedures. The Transfusion Services Supervisor is responsible for planning, organizing, staffing, monitoring, controlling, coordinating, integrating, standardizing, assessing and improving the day-to-day business of the Blood Bank
