JOB SUMMARY

The primary purpose of this position is to keep the machine running and producing a quality product to the targeted level of the product being run. Operator is to follow all safety and regulatory rules and procedures.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

1. 
   Operate the Machine and lead the Packer/Helper's on the line.
   


2. 
   Keep quality in control through SPC.
   


3. 
   Maintain the equipment through preventative maintenance.
   


4. 
   Check schedules on the computer to verify the correct job is being produced.
   


5. 
   Working knowledge of ISO quality management systems requirements.
   


6. 
   Must follow applicable Food Safety policies and procedures.
   


7. 
   Other duties as assigned to advance the mission of Spear.

1. 
   Program machine.
   


2. 
   Ensure safe work environment.
   


3. 
   Ensure accurate data collection.
   


4. 
   Make sure adequate supplies are at machine.
   


5. 
   Assign work duties on machine as needed.
   

QUALIFICATIONS

1. 
   Minimum of High School Diploma or GED; (a minimum of 2 years experience operating an Autocut or Blumer may be substituted for educational requirement.)
   


2. 
   Ability to manage time and work effectively with minimal supervision.
   


3. 
   Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
   


4. 
   Ability to work with internal and external individuals, demonstrating a high level of professionalism.
   


5. 
   Ability to use and a working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook,).
   


6. 
   Highly organized, detail oriented.
   


7. 
   Enthusiasm for learning and personal growth.
   


8. 
   Good written and verbal communication skills.
   


9. 
   A means of attending work every day.
   


10. 
    Be able to operate and maintain measuring devises (Computa-guage, micro-vu, small scale, ruler and eyepiece).
    

WORKING CONDITIONS

1. 
   Ability to lift and carry 50- 60 pound blades.
   


2. 
   Ability to stand up to eight (8) hours per day.
   


3. 
   Ability to bend, squat and kneel.
   


4. 
   Operator must be able to use hands to grasp, hold and manipulate buttons.
   


5. 
   Ability to push and pull ten (10) pound strips.
