JOB SUMMARY

This position involves processing various materials for the Lamination Process and could include slitting, rewinding, and waste removal of laminated stock, raw materials or printed rolls.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBLITIES

· Load and unload rolls of stock to be processed

· Remove questionable material and splice web (in register if necessary)

· Enter production data in the SpearSystem and accurately account for the material processed & waste

· Properly identify finished product for inventory accuracy

· Perform quality checks and enter data in the Infinity database as needed

· Set up slitting blades to various slitting widths

· Identify process improvement opportunities

· Participate in process improvement initiatives as requested

· Working knowledge of ISO quality management systems requirements

· Ensure compliance with all Food Safety and EHS regulations, requirements, and training

· Other duties as assigned to advance the mission of Spear

ADDITIONAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· Identify quality issues and compare to approved standards. Notify proper personnel as needed.

· Troubleshooting machine problems and make necessary corrections.

· Cross-train on the other machines and learn various job responsibilities.

QUALIFICATIONS

· Minimum of High School Diploma.

· Highly organized, detail oriented

· Flexibility to work any shift

· PIT Certification & Operation may be necessary

· Must be safety conscious around rotating knives, gears and pinch points

· Must adhere to safety requirements regarding PPE

· Ability to manage time and work effectively, sometimes unsupervised

· Highly organized, detail oriented

· Good written and verbal communication skills

· Working knowledge of personal computers and Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel,Outlook)

· Basic SPC knowledge

· Must be able to work with an energized strobe light during material processing

· Working knowledge of ISO quality management systems requirements

WORKING CONDITIONS

· Standing for extended periods.

· Work in a team environment and provide assistance when needed.

· Ability to crouch and stretch often during a shift (webbing machine).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

• 
  Able to lift 50 lbs several times during a shift
  


• 
  Able to work in non-air conditioned warehouse environment (40F - 100F)
