Job Description:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Kforce has a client in search of a Project Manager in Bethesda, MD.

Key Tasks:

• Plans projects, including requirements, cost, schedule, and deliverables to meet business need


• Identifies project milestones and required tasks


• Manages project risk and budget


• Tracks project performance


• Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel


• Informs the appropriate stakeholders of project status and issues


• Interfaces with vendor(s) for programs under direct control


• Works with Product Managers and Product Owners to alignment for Scrum Teams


• Facilitates Agile Scrum Team execution and feature completion tracking


• Creates, modifies, publishes and leverages standardized Agile Metrics to facilitate continuous improvement on the Scrum Team


• Arranges and facilitates daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, story grooming, and demo/retro; Ensures quick inspection and proper use of an Agile process


• Escalates and assists in the resolution of impediments


• Facilitates release planning events for assigned Scrum Teams


• Encourages and guides the adoption of DevOps policies and DevOps procedures


• Provide coaching on Agile practices and methods for assigned as well as other Scrum Teams

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience


• 7 - 10 years of experience managing enterprise level infrastructure projects ($250K+)


• Experience leading projects for a Fortune-500 company


• Excellent communications skills to effectively information share with project team members and senior managers


• Be available to work outside of the traditional hours and days to facilitate project events when required


• Can effectively work with diverse project team members and be able to instill a unified drive to achieve project objectives and milestones


• Skilled in conceptualizing creative solutions, documenting them, and presenting/selling them to senior management


• Strong oral and written communication skills


• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with globally dispersed teams


• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite and applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Visio, Teams)


• Proficiency with tools Service Now, Confluence, Jira
