Kforce has a client in search of a Project Manager in Bethesda, MD.
Key Tasks:
Plans projects, including requirements, cost, schedule, and deliverables to meet business need
Identifies project milestones and required tasks
Manages project risk and budget
Tracks project performance
Directs and coordinates activities of project personnel
Informs the appropriate stakeholders of project status and issues
Interfaces with vendor(s) for programs under direct control
Works with Product Managers and Product Owners to alignment for Scrum Teams
Facilitates Agile Scrum Team execution and feature completion tracking
Creates, modifies, publishes and leverages standardized Agile Metrics to facilitate continuous improvement on the Scrum Team
Arranges and facilitates daily stand-up meetings, sprint planning, story grooming, and demo/retro; Ensures quick inspection and proper use of an Agile process
Escalates and assists in the resolution of impediments
Facilitates release planning events for assigned Scrum Teams
Encourages and guides the adoption of DevOps policies and DevOps procedures
Provide coaching on Agile practices and methods for assigned as well as other Scrum Teams
REQUIREMENTS:
Bachelor's degree, or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work/military experience
7 - 10 years of experience managing enterprise level infrastructure projects ($250K+)
Experience leading projects for a Fortune-500 company
Excellent communications skills to effectively information share with project team members and senior managers
Be available to work outside of the traditional hours and days to facilitate project events when required
Can effectively work with diverse project team members and be able to instill a unified drive to achieve project objectives and milestones
Skilled in conceptualizing creative solutions, documenting them, and presenting/selling them to senior management
Strong oral and written communication skills
Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as with globally dispersed teams
Proficiency with Microsoft 365 suite and applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, SharePoint, Visio, Teams)
Proficiency with tools Service Now, Confluence, Jira
