Full time/ 40 Hrs/ Day / BWH Radiology
The Scheduling Coordinator must be a highly energetic, independentand professional individual with strong interpersonal skills. Following established departmental andhospital procedures the Scheduling Coordinator is responsible for coordinatingthe patient scheduling activities for all the on-site and off-site sections in theDepartment of Radiology. The Coordinator works closely with the referringphysician offices and Radiology sections to coordinate the scheduling of patientprocedures. In doing so, the coordinator maintains the highest possible levelof communication to achieve quality care. Performs all secretarial, and patientconfirmation functions necessary for the complete and efficient management ofpatient scheduling and access through the Radiology Department.
Qualifications
{1} Extensive experience and formal coursework in medical terminology and office procedure generally acquired throughmedical secretarial course/school beyond High School, equal to two (2) years ofcollege scholastic preparation.
{2} Two (2) to three (3) years of medicaloffice or clinical experience in a hospital setting preferred.
