What you will do:

The HR Coordinator is responsible for overall management of employment files and data throughout all stages of the employment life cycle, ensuring data integrity, as well as the administrative support of day to day Human Resources operations. This position is considered a vital link between Regional Management and Division HR and must foster a positive, healthy, and enthusiastic work environment.

Your responsibilities:

* Creates and maintains employment files and records. Verifies and follows up with managers as needed to obtain documentation. Creates tracking tools as necessary. Conducts regular audits of regional files to ensure robust data integrity as well as opportunities for improvement.

* Processes all new hires, terminations, changes, and leaves of absence (working with Benefits Specialist), in HRIS (ADP).

* Responsible for oversight of new hire and random drug testing program including compliance and reporting. Ensures that managers are notified for testing monthly. Follows up with managers and testing facilities to confirm testing has occurred.

* Initiates and processes background checks, offer letters, I-9s and other confidential documents within compliance guidelines.

* Creates and runs reports to track department metrics, performance reviews, and other data as needed.

* Serves as uniform program coordinator by assisting employees with ordering uniforms, safety shoes, and prescription eyewear program.

* Ensures all field locations have required federal and state postings. Works in liaison with corporate poster administrator.

* Answers routine inquiries regarding HR/Company policies and procedures. May be involved in employee relations situations as appropriate.

* Identifies opportunities for process improvement across HRC function. Identify ways to eliminate waste/ quality defects, and design more efficient and effective process for HRC and internal customers who interface with processes.

* Maintains good relationships with corporate HR staff and management across division to ensure and maintain open communication. Meets regularly with regional HR Managers to assist in HR needs.

* May assist with new employee onboarding and orientation including training on Company policies and department procedures.

* Responsible for scheduling, communication, coordinator and ongoing maintenance of assigned Division project or program, ie: Hire Right, Cintas, Year End Processes, Annual MVR Process, Job Descriptions.

* Special projects and other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

What you will need:

* Bachelor's degree preferred.High School Diploma/GED required.

* Minimum of 2 years of prior work experience in a professional corporate or office environment.

* Prior HR and or demonstrated process improvement experience preferred.

* Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Applications; HRIS and Payroll System experience is preferred.

* Exhibits customer focused behavior such as building positive relationships and strives to understand customer's needs, both internal and external.

* Excellent time-management, organizational, documentation and follow-up skills. Must have strong attention to detail.

* Ability to handle assignments that are of a confidential and complex nature with considerable discretion, judgment and tact is essential. Ability to review processes objectively and recommend more efficient methods.

* Ability to deal with difficult situations in a diplomatic and professional manner.

* Excellent analytical and creative problem solving skills with the ability to make independent decisions based on investigation and judgment as well as ability to discern when to escalate issues.

* Excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to adjust communication method based on customer situation.

* Ability to understand and carry out oral and written instructions, requesting clarification when needed.

* A positive approach and willingness to learn coupled with the ability to work in a team environment.

* Lives by Airgas safety programs, OSHA, and all related rules, regulations, procedures which are applicable to this position's responsibilities.
