Job Summary:

The Video Intelligence (VI) Product Manager will help drive the long-term vision and product strategy for the VI product line. They will also work with customers, relevant internal participants, and other stakeholders to ensure we are creating the most value for our customers. Product success will be measured by profitability, unit growth (count and data), and revenue growth. Overall success will be measured by contribution to delivery of our Connect and Scale vision for Transportation.

Responsibilities You Can Expect


  • Discover. Develop new product concepts, research market opportunities, conduct competition (and substitute) assessments, collaborate with Marketing for Voice of Customer


  • Advocate. Identify customer requirements, issues, and opportunities with current product offerings, as well as new products under development. Set product priorities for hardware and data collection groups.


  • Align. Develop a multi-generation roadmap for hardware and data collection and align with other product leaders to deliver on the overall strategy. Assist cross-functional teams by being the subject matter expert, able to answer questions, and make clear recommendations.


  • Execute. Coordinate with Engineering and UX teams to execute development initiatives. Drive product launches and post-launch analysis.


  • Evangelize. Create and maintain a multi-generation roadmap. Socialize a clear view of priorities and progress against that roadmap with business partners and senior leadership.


  • Collaborate closely with Product Owners, Product Managers and Leadership to align on vision and key commercial strategies in the formation of a roadmap.


  • Partner with the strategy team to develop competitive pricing models in collaboration with Leadership and Sales.


Education, Skills & Experience Required:


  • Bachelor's Degree in Product Management, Engineering, Computer Science or related field. Commensurate experience to a degree will also be considered.


  • Metrics-driven mentality: Keen analytical skills are a must, including the ability to absorb and process large amounts of data, then transforming the data into actionable information


  • 4+ years' experience of product management within a technology-focused business


  • Experience in developing market requirements for hardware and software products and services


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills


  • Internal and external (customer-facing) presentation and training skills


  • Demonstrated ability to build consensus among diverse stake-holders


  • Problem solving ability and analytical business skills


  • Leadership and participation in cross-functional teams


  • Ability to travel up to 20%


Preferred experience:


  • Experience with web sites, UX and customer experience


  • Experience within the video intelligence industry


  • Experience within a transportation or logistics business environment


  • Experience developing and maintaining strong partner relationships


  • Tech-savvy and passionate about building products
