Use expertise to analyze for ongoing technology performance issues, promote technological change, drive & manage pilot projects for new features / fixes of an existing technologies. Vendor contract management. Provide tier 4 support.
Has an advanced understanding of the technology need and has firsthand knowledge of solutions that might address the business need. Has an advanced understanding of the processes and procedures and provides recommendations to update those processes without being prompted.
Has strong level understanding of the technology need and has a detailed knowledge of multiple products that can be leveraged to address the business need and can generate pros and cons for each.
Monitors financial management processes and procedures for multiple IT services. Interprets how to approach IT budgeting, accounting and chargeback. Develops and implements processes designed to collect service costs. Analyzes and presents pros and cons as well as types of chargeback for IT services. Promotes alternative approaches to assigning IT Service costs.
Plans, estimates, staffs, organizes and monitors significant projects. Utilizes preferred tools, techniques and methods for estimating project cost and time. Identifies risks and vulnerabilities; creates contingency plans. Communicates reporting requirements; creates monitoring and control mechanisms. Conducts regular and ad-hoc project reviews with project team, sponsors, and clients. Maintains open communication among project participants and interested parties.
Maintains productive, long-term relationships with clients or vendors. Conducts periodic reviews of work effort, progress, issues, and successes. Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent job-related experience/knowledge.
4+ years' applications architecture experience.
Uses effective decision-making approaches such as consultative, command, or consensus. Differentiates assumptions, perspectives, and historical frameworks. Advises others in analyzing and synthesizing relevant data and assessing alternatives.
Streamlines the critical workflow for executing key processes. Sets priorities for addressing process problems that limit performance. Develops methods for improving and establishing controls for critical processes
Ability to discuss technical information with users, discern their needs and gather requirements and processes, while communicating in non-technical terminology.
Knowledge of Infrastructure technology, including connectivity, storage, server and workstation hardware and operating systems, printers, scanners and copiers, security, and telecommunications.
Ability to maintain confidential information in a discreet manner.
Customer-service focused and friendly.
Effective communication skills (written and verbal) with attention to detail. Develops a clear, complete understanding of needs and problems through careful listening, probing, reflecting, and summarizing. Conducts discussions that are sincere and fully expressed.
