The IT Shipping and Receiving Clerk is responsible for performing clerical and physical tasks in connection with shipping and receiving incoming and outgoing shipments.

Perform a combination of manual and clerical shipping and receiving duties;
Use computer system for tracking, logging, verifying and reporting;
Follow shipping practices and procedures, and transportation routing, schedules and requirements;
Receive incoming materials and prepare materials for shipment;
Assist with IT when un-boxing new computers and re-boxing computers after imaging is completed;
Accurately assemble computer kits for shipping;
Maintain and print labels;
Keep accurate records of shipments in inventory system;
Receive shipment when computers arrive both from termed employees and delivery of new equipment
Work with HR to recover kits from terminated employees
Assist and maintain accurate counts of peripheral devices like mice, headsets, etc.
Load, unload, and convey materials within or near work site, and perform a combination of tasks under specific direction which may include shipping and/or receiving;
Load and unload materials onto or from pallets; load or unload materials into or from trucks by hand;
Convey materials using escalator, hand truck, forklift, electric dolly, or other devices; stack or assemble materials.
Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.
Minimum Required Qualifications:
High school diploma AND
Previous warehouse experience OR
Equivalent combination of education and experience
Certificates and Licenses: None required.
Other Required Qualifications:
Previous shipping and receiving is highly preferred.
Basic skill exercising initiative and using good judgment to make sound decisions
Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with all levels of employees and vendors
Effective skill in following instructions, policies, procedures, and safety regulations
Able to lift 50 plus pounds
Able to stand for long periods of time
Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
Ability to travel X% of the time
Ability to clear required background check
