Job Summary

Controls machine time, materials, and possibly other operators in other key processes. Operates within general work instructions and intermittent supervisory checks.

Representative Activitie include: Controls operations of a number of inter-related, specialized machine processes in order to fabricate, process or produce required output.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensure compliance to all Health & Safety policies, including accident and near miss reporting


• Conduct ThinkSafe training, including RADAR events timely and ensure risk assessments are current


• Ensure an excellent standard of housekeeping is maintained in the team work area


• Lead by example, motivate, coach and develop team members to maximize their potential, effectiveness and efficiency


• Responsible for cost, quality and delivery of components in line with production programmes


• Certify own and other team members work ensuring certification accurately reflects work status.


• Initiate relevant paperwork including concessions, lost time analysis and right first time data in line with company process.


• Maintain team visual management boards and KPIs


• Ensure that team targets are achieved and exceptions are escalated in a timely manner


• Minimise team cost of production including materials, consumables and energy whilst maintaining quality standards


• Utilise lean production techniques to achieve improvement targets and initiatives


• Ensure the standard of manufactured components are consistently in line with quality requirements


• Achieve production targets to agreed priorities, including team resource allocation


• Ensure continuous flow of material and information through shift handovers and escalation of shortages and machine downtime
