About the Role

The Profit and Loss (PNL) Validation Analyst I position, unlike any other in the Bank, is responsible for evaluating revenue sources from the trading desk and validating the profit and loss against various back-office systems and general ledger data.

What You Can Expect

In this role, problem-solving is the name of the game. You will work closely with five different derivatives business units to maintain their financial reports, validate general ledger income, and reconcile them to front office systems. You will be responsible for identifying and understanding problems that arise and quickly provide solutions to resolve them.

How You'll Spend Your Time

• You will manage a very detailed and large Excel spreadsheet daily to improve the efficiency and accuracy of preparation by automating the existing workflow.


• You will develop financial reporting systems in the Bank, both dealer and broker-dealer, to generate accurate financial/income reports.


• You will work to streamline back-office business processes and work to enhance reporting of derivatives business units.

Education & Experience Requirements

This level of knowledge is normally acquired through completion of a Bachelor's Degree in Business, MIS or related field of study and 3+ years of directly related experience in derivatives accounting analysis and validation as well as some form of trading participation or support.

• CPA / CFA certification a plus
