Consulting and collaborating with clients on product solutions built on the Workday Extend platform
Leading requirements workshops
Writing requirements and design documents for application solutions that meet the needs of Workday customers
Developing POCs and production code using Workday Extend
Collaborating with Alight teammates including functional and integration consultants, system architects, and project managers
Working across the full application development lifecycle
Working on multiple client engagements simultaneously
Managing projects to scope and budget
Providing high touch support to our clients
Contributing to project plan development in collaboration with Technology Delivery Manager and Project Manager
Contributing to overall project objectives and specific deliverables
Delivering requirements and design documents to developers
Providing coaching, guidance and oversight to developers
Delivering knowledge transfer of requirements and design to customers
Executing any development standard and configuration change tracking processes
Performing peer review of requirements and design documents and code
Coordinating and executing migration validation
Reviewing, resolving, and assigning issues raised during testing phase
Ensuring client satisfaction until the project is complete
Appropriately escalating project issues when required
Providing overall support and quality assurance of every phase of the client Extend project
Helping identify process improvements and changes to our methodology and tools based on project experience
Individuals in this role may be expected to either:
Guide a project team as well as to take on a lead role within any project in which they may serve as an active participant OR
Become the lead Subject Matter Expert within the Integration area of Workday.
Provide guidance to resolve client needs
Knowledge and Expertise of:
3 to 7 plus years of experience in HRIS field; experience in data conversions for Workday, PeopleSoft, or similar applications preferred
Deep knowledge and experience with Workday
Workday Extend experience
Workday Integrations and Studio certification strongly preferred
Knowledge and experience with system implementations
Knowledge and experience with programming
Knowledge and experience with application and product development
Knowledge and experience with translating business requirements into system requirements
Knowledge and experience with databases, entity relationships, and SQL
Previous consulting experience either as an internal consultant or with a consulting/software company
Demonstrated project leadership experience
Can effectively manage the activities and deliverables of a team
Ability and willingness to train and mentor other team members
Quick learner and motivated to understand various technologies
Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
Strong work ethic
Ability to manage fluctuating workloads
Passion for data accuracy and completeness
Resourceful and has great attention to detail
Demonstrates enthusiasm and commitment towards the job and goals of the organization
