POSITION TITLE

Airbag Development Engineer

POSITION OVERVIEW

Candidate will work as a member of the technical team for Milliken's Airbag Business. Candidate must be able to work a cross-functional groups (development, manufacturing, and customers) to develop and promote product or technology introductions.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES


  • Set up and maintain live and simulated airbag deployment system.

  • Create and maintain specialized testing equipment including controls and associated software.

  • Interact with manufacturing and development to mechanically understand various aspects of fabric processing

  • Learn to develop expertise in fabric formation and finishing to become a SME

  • Interface as business sample engineer and manufacturing in NPD

QUALIFICATIONS - REQUIRED


  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering

  • Highly proficient in AutoCAD

  • High mechanical aptitude

  • Strong knowledge of electronics, data acquisition and control systems

  • Good knowledge of computer programming language

  • Ability to design, innovate solutions to complex problems
