As a Senior Financial Analyst working within the US Business Unit, you will be empowered. In this role, you will contribute to Takeda’s mission by providing best in class business partnering to core Commercial support functions to drive effective business performance. You'll serve as Finance Business Partner for General Administration, R&D & Medical Affairs, Commercial Operations, Patient Services and Managed Markets.

POSITION OBJECTIVES:
The Senior Financial Analyst assists in the financial planning processes for the USBU planning cycles: Annual Plan, MYC, Feb LBE, MRP and LRF ensuring quality, consistency and reliability of the data and summary deliverables submitted to HQ Finance.
Work closely with assigned functions to understand their business requirements to provide strategic guidance.
ACCOUNTABILITIES:
Strategic Planning & Analysis
Manage operational expense budgets and provide visibility to financial targets.
Support and influence key operational and strategic decisions.
Improve the impact and understanding of financial reporting on business performance.
Establish partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams.
Monthly Reporting
Assists in the preparation of the Monthly USBU Results Deck with insightful commentary on both financial and non-financial performance indicators.
Ensures both routine and ad-hoc HQ Finance data requests are prepared accurately, submitted timely and with the highest level of quality.
Looks for new ways to analyze and report results; leveraging Global Tools.
Supports the development and consolidation of USBU functional budgets under Cost Package guidelines.
Monitors and reports performance against USBU OPEX budgets/metrics.
Represents and champions the USBU on Global Finance Transformation projects such as the unification of SAP platforms and Financial Planning tools and the preparation for US SOX.
Provides ad-hoc reporting to support requests from financial management.
EDUCATION, BEHAVIOURAL COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS:
Bachelor's degree in finance or accounting
Minimum of 3 years of financial analysis experience
Experience with management reporting, financial analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated business impact in previous roles
Proven ability to determine financial and business valuations of investment initiatives.
Strong computer software skills (Microsoft Office Suite – Word, Excel, PowerPoint), SAP, TM1.
Experience working in a pharmaceutical or healthcare setting is preferred.
Deep knowledge of all aspects of financial management – budgeting, forecasting and financial planning, including consolidation across the company.
