Overview

Application Developer needed to provide application development and maintenance services related to the support of HR related enterprise applications including integrating these applications with other ORNL line of business applications.

Major Duties

This position will act as the primary analyst for the enhancement and support of various HR enterprise applications such as Employee Master Data, Organization Structure Data, Recruiting, Onboarding, Performance Management, Compensation, Benefits, Workforce Diversity, etc. These applications are supported on the SAP and SuccessFactors platforms. The successful candidate must be a highly motivated, self-starter who is comfortable working as part of a team (in any capacity) or as an independent contributor. The candidate must demonstrate a strong customer focus and excellent written and verbal communications skills. A desire to continuously improve technical skills and identify opportunities where development tools meeting ORNL Standards may be used in place of non-standard tools is expected.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field with 3 to 5 years of experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated professional experience with the following:

* Configure and maintain SAP software in support of enterprise human resource processes. In situations where business processes cannot be met through SAP or SuccessFactors configured solutions, lead the development of design specifications for customized programming and/or bolt-on applications.

* Developing, supporting, and modifying software developed in SAP's ABAP Technologies including SAP GUI (Classic ABAP and ABAP Objects), Business Server Pages, SmartForms, and ABAP WebDynpro.

* Supporting, modifying, and populating data objects within the SuccessFactors system.

* Developing, supporting, and modifying interface software developed in SAP's Cloud platform (SCP) middleware integration service.

* Developing, supporting, and modifying software and procedures to load and update data into a Business Intelligence (BI) warehouse.

* Producing and consuming web services (SOAP and REST)

* Experience with SAP HR related infotype data structures.

* Experience with SuccessFactors system design and data model.

* Experience with SAP Cloud Platform (SCP) toolset.

* Experience with HTML, CSS, Groovy, and JavaScript.
* Experience with using relational databases (e.g. Oracle, MS SQL).
* Experience using Microsoft Visual Studio.

* Evaluate user requests for system modifications in terms of feasibility, time, cost, and compatibility with current system configuration and capabilities across all SAP and SuccessFactors modules.

* Work with Technical Lead to analyze software requirements and develop application design.

* Analyze software code and data to answer questions about system operation.

* Strong analysis, troubleshooting, and debugging skills.
* Experience facilitating, gathering and documenting user requirements through application design sessions with business customers.
* Excellent communication, organizational skills, time management and problem-solving abilities.
