You are a seasoned cloud architect focusing on compliance. You have deep understanding and hands-on experience to deliver compliance and architecture leadership across compliance initiatives within Citrix engineering. You excel in both outbound and inbound compliance architecture leadership and communications. Outbound - (evangelism, leveraged communication, and executive influence). Inbound - (innovating, solving hard technical problems hands-on-keyboard in conjunction with product teams, and rapidly learning and evaluating new technologies to solve for compliance architecture solutions).

Position Overview:

We (Citrix) are rapidly building and expanding our portfolio of global-scale cloud applications across all product lines, including app/desktop virtualization, networking, and content collaboration. These applications must deliver enterprise-grade availability, performance, security, and compliance at scale in multiple clouds. This position requires deep enterprise and solution architecture experience, working with and leading compliance architecture vision for a large and diverse group of partners, and the ability to build strong multi-functional bonds and consensus with teams by collaborating and providing solutions to challenging and complex compliance control framework requirements.

Role Responsibilities:


  • Serve as lead architect for FedRAMP compliance program and consult on additional compliance programs active within Citrix.


  • Work with compliance, engineering, and business executives as well as other senior technical leaders to develop, validate, and communicate the technical vision for our compliance architecture in cloud and how we can best achieve our goals.


  • Be a senior Citrix engineering specialist with prior compliance experience on one or more cloud engineering or architecture topics such as AWS, Azure, Kubernetes, wide-column NoSQL, global traffic management.


  • Update, maintain, and present the primary authorization boundary and information flow diagrams as well as review, contribute to, and present supporting sections of the relevant compliance framework documentation assets to auditors and business partners.


  • Identify, document, and deliver architecture solutions to significant change events related to compliance control requirements and additions of new product lines into the authorization boundary.


Basic Qualifications:


  • Expertise in multiple cloud platform architectures with knowledge of implications of architecture decisions as it relates to compliance program outcomes and needs.


  • Consistent record of delivering on compliance architecture program goals in large and complex cloud environments.


  • Practical and applied knowledge of key compliance and security frameworks (FedRAMP, NIST-800, CIS, CMMC, etc.)


  • Demonstrable deep knowledge of at least one tier-1 cloud platform (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud, etc.)


  • Proven ability to deliver scalable, reliable, secure, and winning multi-tenant, cloud native application compliance architecture designs.


  • Industry cloud architecture experience in SaaS, large-scale web applications, and large-scale enterprise software.


  • Requires mastery level knowledge of job area obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have deep knowledge of project management.


  • Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years of prior relevant experience; or Master's degree with 8 years; or PhD with 5 years of experience


Preferred Qualifications:


  • Architecture/engineering for large scale SaaS applications to meet compliance and security control requirements through application of technology, policy, and process.


  • Proven experience of successfully leading multiple cloud product teams through the compliance audit and evidence gathering process.


  • Additional applied experience of SAFe, Agile, and technical program management a plus.


  • Design and implementation of cloud-based systems for global availability including practice in chaos engineering.


  • Practical knowledge of APM, monitoring, and logging at scale


  • Experience with cloud-based security principles and crypto technologies including HSMs and key management


  • Experience building SaaS solutions at scale using technologies and concepts such as CDN, messaging, caching, batch, FaaS, DDos protection, global traffic management, ingress/firewall, and API gateways.
